Went in hungry,because we were delivering at Big Lots ( they take forever to unload).I read some good reviews first, and it sounded good! We saw lots of locals entering, and in line for lunch, so that looked impressive! We ordered their footlong pastrami and chicken teriyaki stir fry subs and they were great!! Our combos came with either chips or fries and a fountain drink. The bread was soft and fresh, and the subs were piping hot, and everything tasted fresh!
As truck drivers, we get tired of the same ole fast food chains at truck stops and that’s the main reason why I read reviews and make reviews and try some local businesses . It helps everyone !!!! Thanks Substantial Subs and all of the great crew! Hope to be able to come back again!!!

Hmm I don’t know what the food taste like. It’s Sunday afternoon around 3pm. My friend and I are taking a look at the menu and deciding what we want and the worker says “you got about 5 minutes because we’re closing, we’ll cook for you but 5 mins. Just lock doors at 5 mins till closing, don’t try and make an extra dollar. No one wants to be rushed through looking at the menu and your food rushed because it’s closing time. I left and went where I wasn’t on a time clock.

Tough owner or manager has a smart mouth. Easy to be rude behind the counter. What a sad way to lose a customer. Food is decent and affordable though.

Amazing food!!! U can't go wrong with any sub u get. The line moves quickly and the staff is very friendly. I wish there was one in Palm Beach County!! Oh and the cookies are a MUST!!! u won't be disappointed

From the guy at the register. Good afternoon. I would not normally take to heart reviews the skew from one extreme to the other. I do how ever take pride in the service and food quality that I provide. Even more considering I eat out myself and always look for places that can provide fresh food in a clean friendly environment. I feel that we here at substantial subs do try our hardest to provide just that kind of experience. I'm not saving we are perfect in fact I know mistakes happen. 9 times out of 10 it is usually a misunderstanding and I would be more than help to fix any problems as long as my staff and myself are approached in an appropriate matter. We work really hard to take care of all of our customers as fast and efficiently as we can while still providing the top quality product that our long time customers have grown to love every single day from open to close. I invite anyone to come hangout for an hour or so during lunch on a Wednesday and see for themselves. I hope in the future anyone who feels the need to write a review would calmly contact us about something that may have been done wrong. To those that have already written a review I'm sorry I have upset you and I'm appreciative that even though you have written a negative review I still see you in line ordering not even a day or two later. <br/><br/>Thank you for your time, The guy at the register

Graig. Wow is all I can say... enter at your own risk seems like a work release program gone bad. I ordered( past tense ) from here regularly but hesitantly. They are rude and hostile.... A Wanna be Thug cooks at this place and his Girlfriend runs it. Cursed me out because they sent the wrong order and refused to fix the problem, then the Wanna Be Thug called me out.to fight him. Not over a 6 dollar sandwich but to prevent you from having a similar experience I am writing this review.... Hope you find this helpful

Great place for food! :). I work in the area and eat here several times a week. They have great quality of food and fresh ingredients everything is made to order. The place is always clean and they have awesome service. But don't be on your phone the line moves fast.

Very unprofessional staff.. The story behind this review comes from earlier today. We always go to substantials to get our lunch every other Wednesday. Well today they've lost all of our staff by their rudeness. one employee in particular was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He threaten one of my co-workers and even made fun of us by calling us "fools". He crossed the line the moment he tried to fight with one of us. Let's be honest who does that?

Great for lunch or fast breakfasts. Great for lunch, they load up the fresh hot subs for you. Good breakfast too, as long as you're okay with plastic forks and styrofoam plates; it hits the spot, and you can get great cheese and egg sandwiches, or fish and grits, while you catch the morning news on TV.

Ive been here a couple times and its always been awesome. The steak bomb is fantastic one of my favorite subs there. They have a very large menu to pick from too; Also i like the atmosphere they make u feel at home almost. Good place to hang out.

Great Place. Great place, good food, friendly staff, cheap prices, free meal after 10 purchases. I go there at least 7 times a week and I've never had a complaint. If all those of you who have complaints because of this or that, maybe try your luck at a 5 star restaurant next time instead.

This place is disgusting! The employees are very VERY rude, unprofessional, and seem like thugs behind the counter the way the speak to there customers. I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS PLACE. It's not family friendly and the food is over priced for the quality.

Subway Better Option. What can I say? The (Average, at best) food is overpriced, the customer service is less than stellar and don't go with a woman! The owner, Cullan (Sp?) tried to hit on my younger sister the entire time we were waiting on our food. The better option is to go to Subway!

I love Substantial Sub I go Monday-Friday and by breakfast or even sometimes lunch. The workers there are so nice and they never mess up of my order.

Food OK but Not Worth It. The food here is not bad at all, but the service lacks a lot. The staff are very rude, even for a first time visitor (which was announced). They really do not provide any customer service - their goal is to get a customer in and out as fast as possible and nothing else matters! The food, even though tasted good, is way over-priced for what it is and where it is. Will not be coming back.

Awesome place, great prices, great food. In my opinion the food is great, employees are fast and very nice, place has a nice environment and although it could be nicer i feel confortable eating inside, and its by far the best cold cut ive ever had :P

Employees here are corny. I have been here several times (food is not bad) and its always the same deal...The corny, borderline rude jokes from the staff are soo lame and annoying.Just shut up and make my sandwich. It is one of the weirdest things ive seen because every staff member seems to be intent on constantly making corny jokes. It is difficult to put into words. Food is ehhh..Best advice, order to go.
