Absolutely solid food for the price one pays. Really really good food and the atmosphere was amazing! Only critical piece of feedback was on the service; our server showed very little to zero interest in our overall experience. Food was amazing though so I’ll be going back!
We loved Cantuna D'Italia. 😍 The food was tasty. The salmon was very fresh, and the pasta was delicious! I loved my chicken piccada! And the fettuccine was perfect, not too heavy! If you're a pasta lover, def try them! You will not be disappointed.
The food was amazing. Every single item was perfectly made. We got their Cesar and house salads, fried mozzarella, manicotti, pêne sunrise and the shrimp scampi. Everything came with warm, perfectly baked bread. The service was also amazing. We got takeout, but the interaction was so lovely. Absolutely coming back - my new go to Italian spot. So authentic.
Positives: Massive portions for price. Pasta was cooked well, and the veal was tender. Very clean and beautiful interior. Attentive wait staff and quick service despite our large group! Impressed by their selection and food.
Negatives: We had to send back the lemonade--it tasted awful and out of date.
Overall taste: 8/10. Four stars. "Great."
I've always liked this restaurant. The outside is unassuming, but inside is relatively cozy, with a friendly and welcoming vibe. The food has always been good. We consider ourselves to be serious foodies, and the Cantina has become a go to recently, especially for takeout. With a wine cellar at home, we don't need to spend the extra for a bottle. I most appreciate the care they take with takeout orders. One particularly nice touch is keeping the calamari container open so it stays crisp. Of course that can change on the ride home, but we have a pizza stone we use to reheat it in the oven. Speaking of pizza, my wife is quite the critic, having grown up in western NY. Very little here meets her high standards, but she likes the Cantina's pizza. Salads and entrées are equally well crafted. Enjoyable all around, and surprisingly affordable.
Update: Last night we had our second family dinner there. 7 of us. Everyone gets what they want, and portions are large so everyone eats as much as they want, or are able. Good food and a great value!
Finally got Jason (the owner) in a shot.
Great food and great customer service! Came here back in August.
Something interesting is that this place always looks like it's closed (mainly because of the tinted windows) when it's actually open.
Definitely glad I tried this place out. The portions are large enough to have some to take home. Every meal we ordered has been fresh, flavorful, and delicious. It’s definitely a family style restaurant, the manager walks around and greets people. Relax, take your time, and enjoy your meal.
Gone here 30+ times in past 7-8 years, never a bad meal or experience. Facility is dated, hence atmosphere 4 star, still enjoyable and relaxing. Staff better than 5 star. Flexible on menu if peculiar needs. Chicken parmesan my favorite!
I found an Italian restaurant close to my house. So I decided to try. My first impression was a little bit off because it’s dark, look shady, and hidden. But you can tell when you walk-in, it’s a long-run restaurant that never been renovated. Regardless a shady atmosphere, the food was AMAZING ! which is unexpected!
1. I recommend you order mussels for appetizer. You will like it
2. I ordered carbonara, it’s was amazing! Main dish come with a choice of soup or salad, and the side salad was big.
I’ll definitely go back again.
My family loves Cantina D’Italia. We catered from them for our sons baptism. We frequently come to the restaurant for dining in or to bring home. It’s very relaxed. No one is pushing you out the door like in other restaurants.
