Willy's Tropical Breeze Cafe

On a cloudless day, my wife and I spent time on the beach at Pine Island from 0900 to 1200 then walked over to Willy’s Tropical Breeze for lunch. Without any crowd, Nancy asked for our order. My wife ordered the cheeseburger with cheese fries and I ordered the bacon-mushroom-swiss burger and regular fries. About 5 minutes later the order was ready. It was very tasty and very filling. The large diet coke was just the right size for me. As we were leaving people began showing up at Willy’s. Light background Caribbean themed music was playing. Nancy was wonderful and the staff did an excellent job. A very nice experience. We come here a few times, and it never disappoints. We even come here when the summer time squalls show up soaking everything and everyone. It’s still cool.

Keep in mind that at a state park they can’t sell alcohol. That said, they had a great Chicago hot dog with all the proper fixings. All beef dog, pickles, onion, pepperoncinis, tomatoes and mustard. Quite a find! The beach nearby is small, so I imagine it fills up quickly on a sunny day. Still worth the visit on a grey day like today!
