Speedy Cafe

READ TO THE END: I usually have no problems at Speedway. Some employees could be more customer friendly, but overall, they are okay. The food is usually decent and the discounts and rewards are decent as well. BUT, my most recent encounter, was the BIGGEST problem I’ve ever had with ANY gas station that I have ever been to. THEIR gas pump #12 was faulty. The gas pump did not stop automatically like they normally do. $50 of gas over flowed ONTO MY CAR, UNDERNEATH MY CAR, and to the middle of the parking lot!!! My car did not work properly for a day and a half afterwards. My car would turn off, the steering would go out, and my car smelled like gas for a good week and a half. Speedway was made aware of this, as well as it being on camera, and there was a claim made for my case. After a week or two, I finally received a phone call from the company. All I received from the whole hassle and time wasted was a lousy $10 gift card just for Speedway. I spent that $10 at the car wash just to get the initially over flowed gas off after the incident. My car DOES NOT even take $30 to FILL IT UP COMPLETELY!! My money was basically stolen from me and wasted on gas that was not even put to use and a defect that WAS NOT even my fault!! I was told by the manager and employees there that I was not the first one that this happened to recently. I am VERY VERY disappointed with this experience and I usually go there pretty often due to it being close to home. The manager on duty did not even know what to say or do about it. She basically told me that I lost out on my money too. I do want to say a huge thank you to an employee named Ashley though!! She was very apologetic and gave me money, OUT OF HER OWN POCKET, to go to the car wash when I left and she did not have to do that and it was not even her fault either. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ASHLEY!!! YOU ARE SUCH A SWEETIE!!!!(:

The inside of the Speedway store is exactly like a Sheetz so it's a bit obvious they're trying to compete with them. The selection is great and the food is very tasty. Their coffee is also very good. Service is a little slow but the place is still new and getting used to the crowd. Employees are all very generous and friendly.

Today my husband was moved by how kind and compassionate Tessa was to an elderly lady who needed some water to take her meds. Tessa went above and beyond to not only ge3 her the water but also have a sincere conversation with her. My husband told her how appreciative he was to witness the interaction and commented that he'd like to think that if that was his mom one day that people like Tessa would be watching out for her! Thanks Tessa!
