Steak 'n Shake

Food was hot and fresh, but the two-man crew staffing the entire location were absolutely swamped with orders and demanding customers. We patiently waited to get a chance to order and then for our order to be prepared and the quality was great. We appreciate the hard-working duo that appeared to be completely frazzled, but continued on and put a smile on their faces when taking orders and serving. The only ding on the rating was due to the cleanliness of the location. We understand the the eating areas needed service due to inconsiderate customers not cleaning up after themselves, but the condition of the bathrooms and floors are longer-term issues. We will certainly visit again when the craving for a Steakburger arises.

We were the first customers when they open the door today. And asked to have a shake and was told they couldn’t it would take too long and hold up all the other customers in the restaurant. But they were no other customers in the restaurant! She said it would be unfair to all the other customers and I told her there are no other customers here. This place is called steak and shake not just steak!!! She refused to give us a shake. And we said goodbye we will never come back because this is our first time here!!! Why don’t people want to do their jobs anymore??

By far the most terrible “fast food” or even food establishment when it comes to service and quality. 45 minute wait just to place a order. I know I should have walked away but spent 15 minutes in line. Got to the counter and waited another 30 minutes standing there ready order. No shakes available, third time I’ve been to this location and was told they don’t have anyone who can make shakes. No one is working drive through but even as I stand here 47 minutes now passed someone pulls up to the window and they help them first. Really confusing. I don’t see this place lasting much longer if they are that understaffed and the staff they do have can’t handle the simplest of work for a meal establishment. Both employees spent a bit of time standing at the drive through window talking and I finally got my order take But now there is no one to cook the food because the cook had to come take orders. Very disorganized and poorly run. At least you can watch the teslas pull in and fully charge from almost zero before you can eat 🤷‍♂️

I was here on 6/26/2022 at like 11 am, had been waiting to get my order taken for about 10 minutes. I already knew it was a single person working there since the same situation happened the previous week. When it was finally time to order (I just wanted a shake) the worker said "I'm not making any shakes since I'm the only one working here" . Can you believe that? Waited 10+ minutes while he made burgers and fries but a milkshake is where they draw the line. Really makes you wonder. There was only 1 person behind me so it wasn't super busy. Really disappointed, but if you read the other reviews there is a common trend, for months even.

I have never been to a steak and shake, I got the bbq bacon burger. The restaurant was clean but the staff seemed bored out of their minds when we ordered. The food was overall good but 2 out of 5 of our orders were messed up in some way. Also some of the dinosaur statues were anatomically incorrect by the Tesla chargers but that doesn’t have an effect on the review.
