Very good burgers! The owners John and Emily are really nice and helpful, they love to share stories and recommendations about the area. I believe we have tried everything on the menu! Sometimes the service staff gets overwhelmed when busy, but it is worth the wait!
A cool spot in Downtown. Didn't know what to expect from a place called the tavern, but, It was really nice inside and not what I expected.
The place was almost empty when we got there around five thirty on a Saturday night, but began to fill as we dined.
I had the Catfish Po-Boy and it was OK, but I really envisioned filet not chunks of fish. One of my chunks contained 16 pieces of bone that I had to remove while I chewed, not cool.
My daughter had the pizza which she said was very good.
hey have a extensive beer and wine selection which was very nice and a welcome surprise.
My only complaint was their was a problem when I asked for my receipt which had to be redone and did not equal the amount I was charged to my account. Not sure what that was but it wasn't a lot so I guess I will live with it.
Overall it was nice and I will probably try again whenever I'm back in town.
The food was real good (had the gumbo). The service wasn't terrible, but the guy kept confusing who got what. He haded the food and drinks to the wrong people consistently. Not a deal breaker because he was apologetic and very nice.
Great food and great service. Never had a bad experience here.
Service is always nice and friendly. Great tasting food. We did have a bad food experience one night but they were having staffing issues. Overall we will definitely be going back.
I eat here fairly regularly, and the quality is top-notch. Wait staff is friendly and prompt. Had my first Steak from there a few weeks back and it seemed a bit overpriced for what it was. My only mark against The Tavern so far. Waiting on a Southwest burger as I write this. Those things are the real deal.
