The Oxtail Factory

I don't typically give 5 stars but this place is well deserving and I post numerous reviews. Today I decided to try this place for lunch when I drove through Hearne. The outside looks as if it were a former 7-11. Once you walk in you are greeted by some of the nicest people you could imagine. The smell of the food was amazing. I tried the ox tail, yams, cabbage and green beans. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. Keep up the good work and best wishes to the entire restaurant.

The food was so good! I had chicken and my husband had the roast beef. Both were so good! The roast was thick slices. I loved the sweet potatoes! You can't buy them everywhere. I also had the peach cobbler and it was the best ever! We both left satisfied and stuffed! The ladies dipping the food were fast and efficient. The line of people moved fast. The ladies' room was spacious and clean and well supplied. This is much appreciated when we're on the road. There were tablecloths on the tables that looked so nice. They had a roll of nice paper towels on the tables so I appreciated that because eating fried chicken can get messy! So much better than a little rectangular napkin! I give this restaurant a 5 star! ❤️

My brother and I traveled to Hearne Tx a couple days ago to meet a few friends from Greenville Tx and Hearne was about half way for us. I looked up eating places and this place caught my eye sounded good. When we got there I wasn’t so sure from outside but we walked in and what a Fantastic friendly welcome and the aroma was awesome and made me hungrier than I was!! The Fried Chicken was so JUICY and tasty better than I’ve ever had and the Oxtail I’d never had but the server gave me a piece to try and oh WOW....wish I’d hinted for a taste before I got my chicken plate it was so tender like a great slow cooked pot roast with gravy and onions!! The sides were Awesome also mashed potatoes, green beans and greens with cabbage. The seasoning was Excellent!! If you want Southern Style Soul Food you need to visit this Friendly establishment if you are in are go through Hearne,Tx. Next time I’ll take a cooler and take some plates to go I wanted more but couldn’t eat more then the serving size was almost too much!!I will definitely stop in anytime I’m in that area if I could rate Higher than 5 they would be rated higher!!!!
