Tapsilog Express

Excellent filipino breakfast. Clean establishment and the staff were very friendly. Food was prepared quickly and well made. Prices were very good considering the portions and food quality. Parking is available on the street as well as at free parking lots surrounding the restaurant. Traffic getting here was not fun though. But once we got here, we enjoyed it immensely.

I am editing this review and downgrade it to 3 stars. They took out the best thing on the menu, grilled Liemsilog. Why? Why? Why? One of the rare places that open late in downtown Hayward, even though it's only the weekend. The seating is quite small, so if you are hungry at 1AM Saturday morning prepare to do take out instead. Their service is quick, food is cheap and tasty, even though it can be done with less meat and a little more veggie for my taste. The eating area is fairly clean even though the fryer is so close so prepare to have your clothes smell like grease after eating. Parking in downtown Hayward is fairly easy to find. For 6.99, I rate it as one of the best value meal you can get in this area.

When they first opened the food was mouthwatering and so so delicious. Recently, I went to eat some of their food again and it was late-night, so I assume they were kind of tired. Anyways, I ordered some Tapsilog, for 7.45. Unfortunately the the rice was stale and the egg was cold, and they put about half as much meat and rice as they used to.
