Los Carnalitos Restaurant

This place is amazing! Good quality food, fast service, and a convenient location. I'm definitely coming back and bringing all my friends! They have a sister restaurant in redwood city called La Fonda De Los Carnalitos which is higher end food and they have drinks. Highly recommend it if you like this place.

I ordered a Carne Asada and a domestic beer for myself and for my daughter a cheese quesadilla. The total was $27. We received our food and I was surprised because I'm like this doesn't look like a $15 quesadilla. We didn't get rice or beans on the side, no chips. But we got 3 slices of cucumbers which they could've kept. For the price not worth it.

Been here maybe 4 or 5 times so far and there's not a bad thing on the menu. It's also one of the only Mexican food restaurants that I'll actually tell people to go put of their way for if they're in the mood for legit Mexico City cuisine. You'll find some fantastic dishes that you rarely city at a Mexican restaurant in the Bay.

I really had HIGH hopes for this place since they were mentioned in an article. So I ordered a burrito so it would be a fair and regular food item to compare it to other Mexican places. Plus I was going to share it with my child. I was told the salsa and Pico de gallo were spicy which I had to take off my food. That is disappointing they dont make non spicy salsa for those who don't eat spicy or for kids. It doesn't take much effort to do that and it gives options to the customer. I know of other Taquerias who do. As I'm getting my order to go I ask for radishes and was told they dont do that there 🤨 I get home and my order has no limes, pickled carrots or jalapeños. Its plain with 1 salsa. What kind of Mex place dont give the basics? How disappointing and mediocre for a place that its supposed to be on TOP of its game. Literally drove 2 cities for this when there is a great Mex place 3 min from my house. Also the burrito was falling apart and needs to be better tightly wrapped. CON: The meat was soft ( needs more salt) Would like to go back to give other food items a try but I'm just not convinced. They need to offer everything a great Taqueria/ Mex restaurant offers and above... step up the customer Experience and food if they want to keep being worthy of SF food mention. Sadly Right now they are operating like a just ok taco truck when they are not. 😩
