Such a great place. Food is deliciously fresh and priced well for the quality. Beer is top notch and sure to please any beer lover. They have igloos! How awesome is that! There is almost nowhere to eat in NE Michigan right now but this Brew Haus has igloos and open for carry out too. I was shocked when I read some of the other reviews. I don't know how these people can be negative to a great brewery like this,, seems like they are talking about a completely different place. Highly recommend you check it out yourself..
After visiting Alcona Brew Haus several times now, I wanted to add a positive review. There are several taverns and pubs in the area, but few offer the level of service and quality of food as this particular tavern. Waitresses are friendly. The menu and specials represent diverse options. The food is fresh. Lastly, there is always good music as well. The cost of food and drink is pretty much in line with other options nearby. Nothing in Northern Michigan is inexpensive anymore. However, it is a perfect place to unwind and relax. Looking forward to our next visit!
We visited for lunch during the Covid shutdown. They were following all protocols to keep everyone safe. We had great food and service in the igloo. It was heated to about 55 degrees so we were comfortable in a winter sweater. The French dip was the best ever.
They do have outdoor dining in igloos, good service, good food, cold beer. The pretzel is a must, menu currently limited, can't wait for indoor dining. Highly recommend.
Fantastic beer with complex flavors. Food was delicious. Had an issue with the brisket (a minor one) an the owner addressed it immediately and generously. Beer is brewed on-site. Facilities are updated and clean. Outdoor seating was beautiful and well attended to. Great experience!
