Sakura Japan

Am not going to hold my comments as an avid sushi eater coming from Japan. Its actually not bad, their cut of fish is fresh enough and tastes decent. I ordered a Sakura Roll, basically spicy tuna and fish eggs and mayo. It was exactly what I ordered,not bad at all. The rice was ok but I prefer softer sushi rice. You should never expect NYC A-Grade cuts of fish here, but its a nice place to get you sushi fix on the fly. Eel Bento: Surprisingly good, the portion in the eel bento. I would recommend it for those who want to try some eel. Tempura Shrimp Roll: There was no shrimp… It was just batter… batter and rice. Service? Well, as some other commented, it could be better. The atmosphere was basically they don't want to be there and it shows, its just a job to survive and nothing more, so don't expect them to greet you nicely or welcome you with open arms~ But they do their job when your ordering so thats good enough. Its ok I guess, but far from "Damn, I need this" level.

Food was absolutely excellent, but service was horrible! We weren’t acknowledged for 10 minutes while standing right at the counter. Pick up orders were coming and going the entire time. Finally I asked if I could order to eat in, and the man at the counter cut me off mid question, and told me to “hold on one minute”. My husband and I almost walked out right there, but we were short on time. I understand they get busy during lunchtime, but there’s no excuse to ignore a customer for that long, and then rudely cut them off after you’ve been ignoring said customer for 10 minutes, just to tell them to wait longer. To top it all off, the next few people to walk in were acknowledged almost immediately. Not sure if we would return based on the service we were given.

Came here last night and ordered a chicken teriyaki with lo mein it was good greasy food. The store itself has a nice vibe it's very basic but I like it that way it reminds me of the Chinese restaurant that used to go to when I was growing up back in the day. Price-wise it's good for the area it's in. I will definitely go again

It's impossible to order food online using phone! The woman who picks up the phone first puts me on hold and then after I've waited for minutes her taking an order from other customer, she finally says "hello" but then all I can hear is complete silence. After 2 seconds she hangs up the phone. I've tried to call few times, the service is really horrible. Wouldn't recommend.

First time totally disapoonted. I been to this place earlier a lot of times.as its my one of the favaorite food servering restaurant. I got poor quality food "brown rice with shrimp and chicken" at around 12.30 and belief me i start getting bad digestion signs and finally vommited at 3 pm and got relief..Not aspectedfrom you guys. the caretaker can put restaurants in a big trouble. Only message to a owner that Boss take care whz going wrong?
