Incredible meal. Lovely service. A welcome and unexpected find on Thanksgiving. We will for sure find a reason to be back in Harrison just so we can eat here again. Fresh, amazing flavors. Melted eggplant dip is out of this world! (But then again so was the tzatziki, pita, salad, chicken, shrimp santorini, and steak!! ;-) )

My wife and I just got back from Greece and had an urge for a true Greek salad. Not a regular salad with some feta chucked in...which is all we could find...even at a greek "diner." By chance we saw Greek-ish driving through Harrison. Giving it a shot, we found the salad to be amazing...all the ingredients were fresh and crisp. I also tried the hummus dip, amazing as were the two entrees we had. Of course I had to have more than one Mythos beer. So if you're looking for real Greek food that's absolutely delicious in a comfortable atmosphere...definitely no need to get dressed up, you need to try this place. I guarantee you'll go away as happy as my wife and me were.

This place was awesome!! Sorry it took me so long to try it. Simple food done extremely well. Nicholas our host and server was so sweet and makes a heck of an Orange blosdom old fashion. Fantastic. We had their gyros and the lettuce wrapped falafels. Excellent. We were excited that they had a no tip policy and include a full compensation to make sure their staff have benefits. They have serious cocktail game (good Italian cherries, delicious local liquor). This is now part of our regular comfort food rotation.

I feel like I want to move next door to this place.
From the moment you step into the vibrant streets of downtown Harrison, a delightful culinary adventure awaits at Greekish Restaurant. A gem that's just a stone's throw away from the plush Avalon apartments and a leisurely block from the Harrison Metro-North station. Here, the essence of the Mediterranean is brought to life under the watchful and friendly eye of Nick, the ever-present owner whose warm welcome sets the tone for a remarkable dining experience.
The ambiance of the Greekish is immediately inviting, with an immaculate setting that radiates both comfort and class. It's the kind of place where the decor complements the culinary journey, creating a harmonious blend of sight, taste, and aroma.
Speaking of aroma, as soon as you enter, your senses are aroused with a bouquet of scents so authentic you might as well be in a seaside taverna in Greece. This aromatic allure is so potent, it even graces the streets outside, teasing each passersby with hints of herbs and spices, as if inviting them on an invisible magic carpet ride straight to the restaurant’s doorstep.
The menu at Greekish is a testament to the rich tapestry of Greek cuisine. The beef brisket gyro, a personal highlight, is nothing short of a revelation. Each bite of this gyro is a perfect symphony of flavors, with the brisket so tender and flavorful, it easily claims the title of the best I’ve ever had. The homemade feta cheese, a staple of Greek cuisine, is creamy and crumbly, a true delight for the palate.
But the wonders of Greekish don’t stop there. The array of signature dips, including a refreshing cucumber tzatziki and a robust eggplant creation, are perfect starters or accompaniments. For those who adore seafood, the grilled octopus platter is a must-try. Accompanied by jumbo steamed shrimp and the most succulent mussels, it's a dish that transports you straight to the shores of the Aegean Sea.
The lamb chops were almost flight over, they are another highlight, each piece cooked to perfection, embodying the true spirit of Greek street food. If you're in the mood for something more familiar yet with a twist, their open-face burgers are a revelation – they've redefined what a burger can be, surpassing any I've tasted in the past five decades.
Let’s not forget the sides – Greek oregano fries that are a perfect blend of crispy and flavorful, and chicken wings that are so juicy, they’ll leave you craving for more.
In conclusion, Greekish Restaurant is not just a dining venue; it’s a culinary journey that encapsulates the essence of Greece. It’s a place where every dish tells a story, every aroma paints a picture, and every visit leaves you longing for the next. Hats off to Nick and his team for creating a slice of Greek paradise in the heart of Harrison!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Nicholas and staff were super attentive and even provided a complimentary glass of wine and appetizer. I highly recommend the meatball appetizer and the shrimp entree. This will become a regular for us. We can't wait to go back!

Great food and great service. Second time ordering from here and didn’t disappoint. Would highly recommend getting the chicken cutlets and the Branzino. Great bunch of guys. Regarding the issue with the wifi, things happen and patience is key. They even threw in some extra stuff which was much appreciated, as well as a gift card. This is your place for some authentic Greek food

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could but will round up for this mom and pop "greekish" restaurant. First, I need to commend the waitstaff who were very attentive. The hostess came by to fill out water glasses frequently. The waiter brought us extra pita, the food runners delivered everything with a smile. It all made the dining experience enjoyable.
We tried a few things on this visit. We started mixed dips as an appetizer. The tzasaki was probably our favorite but the eggplant and hummus were also very flavorful.
For the mains we tried the branzino which could be done as a whole fish or as fillets. We opted for the whole fish but just a word of warning there are a lot of small bones in there. The fish was fresh and served with lemon potatoes and bitter greens which was excellent. We also had the build you own gyro duo with chicken and pork. The meats were cooked wonderfully and served with fries, quinoa, salad and a very tasty slice of feta cheese. At first we questioned the quinoa as we generally prefer rice but the restaurant changed our mind about that.
The only miss of the night was the dessert. We opted for their special which was a rice pudding. It had lots of orange flavor, maybe a little too much, and the rice seemed just a bit underdone.
Overall it was a very nice dining experience. Thanks Greek-ish!

I recently dined at The Greek-ish (Harrison location.) It was a cute restaurant not far from the Metro North station (less than a 5 minute walk.)
The menu items were traditional Greek dishes with some interesting twists. A group of us ordered the signature dip and pita assortment, chopped salad, grilled branzino, and chicken cutlet in lemon sauce. The branzino was delicious; unfortunately, I was disappointed with the chicken cutlet. Hoping it was a chicken breast, we were served a thigh cutlet instead (just wished the menu description was more specific.)
For dessert, we had chocolate cake and baklava. Finally, the melomakarona cookies were *chef's kiss* beyond delicious and a nice touch to end the meal.
Overall, I liked the restaurant. Taiko (owner) and Nicholas were absolutely fabulous and went over and beyond. They were super attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed.
Thank you!

Food is authentically delicious. I was surprised to find that place that was really what it meant to be. Greek cuisine? Yes! It is really not “American on top of everything”, it is special, meticulously crafted foods, smooth service and good selection! And they have oysters!
You can have seats outside and inside. Street parking is available.
Will definitely come back!

Beautiful restaurant and food. A true farm to table sit down dinner with lovely staff. We were well attended throughout the night. The best way to dine is their set course meal which comes with dessert.

One of my absolute favorite places in Harrison! Love the staff and atmosphere. A great little spot if you want to dine outside when the weather is nice. The tasting menu is a great value and worth trying. You get 3 courses plus dessert. The mango sorbet, brownie, and homemade apple tart are all equally delicious. My favorite first course is always the shrimp ceviche, but the dip platter with pita is a must try.
