The fajita breakfast hippo wasn’t bad,kinda bland, used a lot of salsa to help it out
Oatmeal Pecan Pancakes were a hit, as were the chorizo (extra) egg scramble it came with.
Service was very good.
Iced Tea was weak.
One of my top favorite restaurants in Harlingen! They have daily dinner specials and a wide assortment of house favorites that is sure to satisfy yourself or your party. Their fajitas, brisket, and carne guisada are a must to try out. (My favorite is the Party Plate, carne guisada and brisket sampler with rice and charro beans!)
The food was delicious & they served a really good amount of it too. They don't have a variety of drinks, but the mixed drinks we got were pretty good. Excellent service as well.
Great service and delicious food. I’ve visited several times and it’s always busy but they still provide quick service. They handle large groups with ease as well.
Had really low expectations going into this restaurant. But let me tell you I was blown away! Service was great the moment I stepped through the door! Food was amazing, restrooms clean and again, Service was amazing! The food was very tasty!
Came back again. I wanted asado de puerco. Now really T.G. seriously, who told you asado de puerco is pulled pork? Yes, it is the same pork, but seriously, the way it is prepared, it was disappointing, and i was shook. This was made like that. You all get your cooks set straight. This is an old mexi dish, man. Come on now. Do your homework if it was to be shredded, then label it or put "our version way shreaded pull pork asado de puerco." Then, to top it off, our servere was the worst, and we honestly waited 45 Min to get our food. And yet incomplete. Still waited for another dish pending Sheesh! And what's up with your complimentary salsa still in a small child's play dish??? If your wanting to save on this then ask the guest would you like salsa then pour into a reasonable size dish otherwise this is so silly and ridiculous I called you out on the last review on this issue.
Breakfast is pretty good.
Pancakes are good, I'm not much of a menudo person but their pozole is bomb😋 they only have it fri-sun

I've been here many times, love their botana, fajita & brisket...those are usually our go to's but i wanted to try their chicken fried steak that was on the lunch special... 10 out of 10 DO NOT I repeat DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The batter was not crispy, but it was very very salty along with the gravy, the potatoes were not mashed potatoes they looked like they were just smashed yellow potatoes that were super salty as well. I only tasted the food and could not eat it. I ended up only eating the steamed veggies. I was so disappointed and it cost 10.99 plus tax.
Also FYI they recently changed the prices on the Arnold Palmer there's no refill so it's 4.99 per cup. Other than that it's pretty good.
We enjoyed our peaceful experience. The food was delicious and the ice cold sweet tea went down smoothly. We asked for moist brisket and we got lean. However, the waiter quickly corrected the issue and checked up on us afterwards. We had a great overall experience.
Breakfast plates in my photo were delicious. After we ordered, we saw they had breakfast specials on TV slide. We will return to try a different plate. It's definitely a great choice for breakfast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was in town for a few days and wanted to eat something good good! Man did we find it! Angus beef and brisket burger was the Texas Two step burger. I also added bacon for an extra razzle dazzle, Man 10/10! It was also very reasonably priced at 10.99. The fries were just as great. Service was great too and the ambiance was nice. The food is super good I was very impressed and I let one of the employees know as well. Highly recommended if you are in The Valley/ Harlingen Tx.
