Staff was really nice and chef came out and asked what we thought. Chicken and hamburgers were delicious. Love the choice to try new sodas or basics. Atmosphere is welcoming and plenty of room to sit.live music's also another plus.
Cool place to bring the kids for burgers and ice cream.
I've been there once recently and we had a great time, the music was awesome, staff was friendly, the owner was especially friendly, made us feel welcomed. The food was great also, didn't take to long to recieve our order. We definitely will go back this weekend.
The atmosphere at Ol D's is fun, & the service was incredible. Not to mention the delicious food & the coldest 22 oz mugs of beer!!!
Definitely the place to be on the weekends, their live music is great.
I read the comment about a 1st time Customer finding a screwdriver in their milkshake, has to be bs. That's ridiculous. The place is overall amazing. Must visit!!!

Ive lived in the valley all my life and ive never heard of this place. Until recently I heard an ad on 88.9fm radio promoting Ol' D's blues night. Naturally, being a blues enthusiast, I took the 30 minute drive from Brownsville to Harlingen. I wasn't really expecting much from the place other than good music, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The place was large so crowding wasn't an issue. The entire shop had an vintage/retro feel. The neon light certainly gave it a nice ambiance. The food and drinks were a bit over priced, but it's a local shop, so I don't mind paying the few extra dollars. I had the bottled sodas and a burger. The sodas were good, and they let you keep the bottles if you want. The burger was delicious! That was definitely a surprise. I was debating whether or not go get the two meat burger, but decided not to upon ordering. It didnt matter though, brcause when they brought my plate out to me, I was surprised at the size. It's not a HUGE burger or anything, but the patty was definitely think. If your craving a hearty home cooked old fashioned burger, come here. I only have one criticism. It's a bit difficult to find this place online. Market yourself a bit more, especially online. Let people find you! The valley needs more places like this.
We made our first visit last night. The lead vocalist last night was certainly not weak. Food was big and good. We will be back. Very friendly place, all ages there
Visiting from Austin TX and will be back. This will be one of our stops everytime we come visit from now on. Prices are decent for a business like this they run about the same back home. FYI we were told they are in the process of finding a vintage fountain machine. Look forward to seeing that next time.
The kids LOVE this place! The staff are super sweet, the food is out of this world delicious and the environment is so welcoming! HIGHLY recommend this place! Kid friendly!
Great place to come for a soda or ice cream float and listen to fairly good blues. The food however, is pretty bad and overpriced. This location is a pokestop.
