Waffle House

Late stop to grab a bite, Lonnie was our waitress, she was pleasant as was the cook... food came out quick and was just what was needed, hot and hit the spot after hours of driving, the coffee wasn't to good, but the food was good... wish I had tried a waffle they smelled good. Nothing fancy, affordable and nice to go into a place not overcrowded.. the tables were a bit sticky but requested to have it wiped off and done without any attitude. .. thank you for clean bathrooms, seems rare most places. I'd definitely recommend stopping here, and though I know they can get busy, late night was great.

I usually really enjoy Waffle House even if it is inexpensive, and not classy, they're generally fairly clean, have decent service. Also pretty consistent menu so I know what to expect. This particular Waffle House was a disappointment. The floors were very dirty. The staff, except for the cook, we not particularly friendly. Everyone seemed to be on break or in back 😕, because someone had to call for our server, then the cook, etc 🙄. Our server was training a new employee. Other than to take our order the only time she checked on us was when she was taking the trainee to clean the bathrooms. The cook brought our food. I said mine was missing the bacon 🥓 she didn't offer to get it so I just asked not be charged for it...rather than having hot bacon on a cold sandwich. My friend got breakfast and I had a Texas Philly cheese steak.

Incredible service with almost no staff. A lone two employees maintained and incredibly packed waffle house on a busy Saturday night. I counted 26 people inside while more continued to pour in. Not once did I hear one of them complain, or give us anything other than excellent service. These two employees (one cook, one waitress) deserve a serious raise. Please consider paying these people what they deserve, they are quite literally the life blood of your business.

I asked the heavy set black woman if there was a menu and she said “don’t you see me doing something?”. I’ve never been disrespected that way by anyone for politely asking a question. I told her I just asked if there was one anywhere, not to grab me one. With only 6 people sitting down eating there’s no reason to be that hostile. After saying that she flicked her soapy hand at me and said “bye.” I don’t usually leave bad reviews but people need to know that this is what you can expect if you see her on a Wednesday at 6:45pm.
