Review Centro Trattoria & Bar - Hampton Bays

Went for a birthday dinner with a group of 6. The service was A1. Very nice and helpful. The table was also a horseshoe shape that was nice for the group to interact. It was restaurant week. The food was good, above average. Nothing blew us away but it was good. I will go back.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant with great service and good food. For an appetizer, we ordered the antipasto for two and shared it with three and it was more than enough and very good. Another person with us ordered the spaghettini con Vongole which is basically spaghetti with clam sauce and small clams. That was very good also. Two of us ordered the Shrimp Saltimbocca which is colossal shrimp over sauteed spinach. The shrimp are wrapped in prosciutto and fontina cheese and served over costini. I skipped the bread under mine because I do low carb eating. The shrimp were really big and delicious the way they prepared them. My husband ordered the New York strip steak and it was huge and we took home half of it. Only complaint was the room we were in was warm and humid but it was a warm night and the room we were in has an outside room right next it where they waiters and waitresses were going in and out of. It wasn't unbearable just on the warm and humid side.. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic food and service at this Hampton Bays italian restaurant. Stand alone venue with its own parking lot outside of town. You can valet or self park. My sister loves this place and comes often but was my first time. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Friday night didnt have much available for tables but plenty of space at the bar. Had the bone-in veal milanese which was probably the best Ive ever had. The past was also very good. Bread was a ok. The mini cannolies were awesome. Will definitely go back, as theres a good selection on the full menu.

was looking for a nice happy hour deal. Paid 10 dollars each for a full size order of ,eatballs, baked clams and a pizza, also 10 dollars each for dleicious cocktails. 50 bucks plus tax and tip and we had plenty of delicious food and were full. Deals like this these days are rare. The quality was great so we will definitely return for a full priced dinner to try some of the other food.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Centro last night for 30 guests. I can’t stress enough how amazing it was. The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Reynaldo made sure the night was smooth and overall was just a beyond beautiful event. Thank you Centro!!

If you enjoy Italian Cusine this restaurant stands out in the crowd. From the wine selection to the scrumptious meatball appetizer along with cozy surroundings and attentive servers you are likely to enjoy your meal. Carbonara, Buccatini, Saltimbocca and all your favorites prepared exquisitely. Don't forget desert, they have a wonderful selection.

Centro is a delightful experience!!! The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The food was very delicious, too!

This is one of my goto happy hour spots when I'm visiting friends in Hampton Bays! What the location lacks in ambiance (on route 27) it makes up for with interior style, great bar service, and a solid happy hour menu. Chicken parm sliders and pizza are great, and though not a happy hour option, mussels are worth the extra expense.

The food presentation was beautiful & tasted just as great My sister and I went out to celebrate my 21st birthday and this was the perfect location The entire staff was friendly and checked on us numerous times to ensure we had all we needed, there is a good amount of distance that safely separates guests and added measures in the form of plastic screens that in no way negatively alter the atmosphere of the restaurant. We started with the calamari appetizer which was the best I’ve had on Long Island. It was fresh and delicious! Perfectly seasoned. Then we both ate steak as our main course which came with veggies and a beautiful herb that added a nice garnish but also extra seasoning flavor. Overall the experience was fantastic and I’d love to go back again soon!

Our evening at centro was just wonderful. From the start, we spent about an hour at the bar with Chris our bartender who was great with his service and personality. The Happy hour has half price special on certain drinks and beer (wine $7 and beer $4) along with appetizers like their delicious pizzas. The bar is beautiful as well as the dining room. They also have a room for private parties. The restrooms are well decorated as well, which is important. We sat in the dining room and quickly, out bus service took action offering water, tap or sparkling, a tray of olives, cheese and oil and delicious crusty italian bread. Our waitress Kadie was perfect in every way. Her service, suggestions and personality were outstanding. It's important to have great staff that know how to communicate with personality, and she does. For appetizers, we started with the surprising calamari salad ($16). Surprising because we expected a cold salad but this calamari was beaded and seasoned perfectly and lightly fried with a combination of greens and dressing added. The fritto misti (fried calamari $17) was perfect served with sauce. The grilled octopus (19) was tender and coffee with a delicious chutney. For dinner, I had the bucatini with nona's meatballs (25). At first, this dish looked kind of small, but after I started, you could see that this bowl was loaded up wth the pasta as well as the meatballs. The parmigiana melanzo (eggplant $25) was ginormous with a layer of cheese on top. The Orecchiette ($27) was presented well and was enjoyed by our guests along with the linguini pescatore ($31). For dessert, we had the tira misu ($11), 3 cannolis ($11) and ricotta cheesecake (you guessed it, $11). The cannolis were delicious, she'll crunchy with a drizzle of chocolate. The Tira misu was delicious as well. I wasn't too excited about the cheesecake, small, but it was ok. Three cappucini and 1 double esspresso finished us off!!! Overall, this was our first time at Centro and we will definitely be back. In terms of price, it is a bit pricey but it is good to splurge on yourself from time to time. We will be back again! Total bill of fare for 4 was $360 with tip. This did not include our time at the bar.

New Years midnight toast 2022 was great. Eggplant parmigiana, burrata, calamari salad are fabulous. Caring waitstaff and valet.

We have been here quite a few times for dinners and family affairs. The food, service and atmosphere have always been fantastic!! I also must say that Nona's meatballs are really as good as they say they are!!!

Excellent hospitality and service, Dinner is always outstanding with a great rotating list of specials. Will continue to visit here on a regular basis.

Delicious food, the carbonara is absolutely outstanding but you can't go wrong with really any of the options. The service is very friendly, and the food never disappoints. The decor of the restaurant I feel could be a bit fresher, but it feels very homey which is good I guess!

This was my first visit to Centro but won't be my last! It was a very busy Friday evening and unfortunately there was confusion with the waitstaff as to who had our table so no one came to take our orders. We finally flagged down a passing waiter who was quick to help. I started with a pomegranate Cosmo from the drink menu that was perfect. The caesar salad is the best I've ever had and the lightly fried calamari, shrimp, zucchini and lemon appetizer was amazing. Our entrees were pappardelle bolognese and chicken parmesan. Both were delicious and are highly recommended. The food is top rate here, I don't think you can go wrong. Can't wait to return!

Amazing food especially the Pescatore pasta dish. Great staff always around and knowledgeable. Great hostess who sat us right away for our reservation and gave us options to sit in or outside with heaters available. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place. Beautifully decorated and delicious food. Been twice for restaurant week, once for brunch, and another time for price fixe Wednesday...never disappointed. Cavatelli Carbonara is the best I've ever had.

We went last week and loved it! The waitresses, bus staff, and hostesses are all wonderful. Great atmosphere, great selection of wine, and delicious food. My favorite is the expresso martini �We have even already ordered take out (just as good). Happy to have a good Italian restaurant near us. � wishing them all the best for the future.

Attended a private party last night at Centro and drinks, food, service and atmosphere was amazing! Variety of passed hors d'oeuvres, top shelf bar, amazing dinner choices and delicious tiramisu for dessert! The staff was Very accommodating and we are looking forward to more dinners there in the future! Thank you Nina and staff for a wonderful evening.

Centro Trattoria & Bar has a delightful ambiance. The food is terrific- with a nice selection to choose from and the staff is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. I eat there at least once a month :)

I've been two times since opened and have to say very disappointed with the service both times I've been. Our last visit the waitress was very snotty ant blamed it on the way we ordered our dinner is why it took us 3 hours for our meal to come. Also for an Italian restaurant they are lacking on the selection on there menu in my opinion! But they did do a nice job fixing the place up n have a great wine selection.

Nonna's Meatballs are a must! Absolutely delicious tender Meatballs in a fresh sauce. To die for! We also got the lamb chop special, they were delicious also. The pappradelle bolognese was just what I was craving when we decided on Italian for dinner. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce coated it beautifully. We will definitely be back!

Love this place. Food and ambience great ! We did not have a reservation because we thought it would be quiet at 6 pm. All tables were already reserved. We were offered a hi top table in the bar area which we gladly accepted. Everything was great

Out meal last night, which was during restauarnat week and a packed house, was one ine of the beat meals we have ever had. Definitely in our top 5 list of meals we have ever had!

Just got back from my first visit to Centro and it was excellent from start to finish. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was superb. Can't wait to try the outdoor patio area this summer. Great job Centro, and welcome to the neighborhood!
