I had the street tacos, and they were great. Husband had the chimichanga, and it was great. But we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to talk about THE DESSERT. I had the Sweet Jorge - Mexican fried bread sweetened with cinnamon and sugar with ice cream and a caramel drizzle, and let me tell you - I saw god. This might be the best dessert I’ve EVER had.

So I'm giving 3 stars this time on this single experience. I've dined here previously and had a better experience, but I believe that was under different management/ownership. I've had others tell me the quality had dropped but I always want to see for myself. There were issues with the ordering process, but I understand technology can be an issue and I never hold anyone accountable for that. I had two concerns - quality of the food and portion to cost value. I felt like my food was microwaved leftovers from the night before. The ground beef had a Taco Bell like consistency and the melted cheese had a microwaved hardness to it. The flavor itself was good which is why I wished the quality of the ingredients didn't take away from that. As far as the portion value goes, I just felt like you get much larger portions for less money at competing restaurants in the area for the same (if not better) quality of food. Typically I would go one or two stars on this type of experience. But I do plan on making another trip in the near future and this time for a dine in experience which I hope will be better.

A few friends and I had a good experience when it came to the food and drinks. There was no one dinning when we first got there and we were there for a little under an hour and a half. We ate our food and ordered desserts and a few margaritas, about ten minutes after that we were asked to leave due to our table being reserved. Which I completely understand that can happen. But there were plenty of tables still available around the restaurants. We easily could have been asked to move tables. I also can't begin to understand why if we were the only people in the restaurant when we first arrived why we would have been seated at a table with a reservation an hour and a half within the time we were seated, instead of another table. There was only four of us. We didn't have a large table. The total of all of our bills was around 140$ so its not like we were wasting our waitresses time over free chips and salsa. We were also not being disrespect or loud. The over all experience of being asked to leave made all of us feel like they were just trying to get rid of us and made us not want to come back.

Small Mexican place with great staff and menu. They have about a dozen Mexican tapas (small plates) that make it fun to try a few different items and stretch out your meal. The $5 happy hour margaritas were great.

First visit to Luna Zul. Great experience. Greeted by Zachary who was also our server. A very good one, I must add. Very personable, efficient and helpful with suggestions. He also made us great Margaritas. The menu was quite extensive with a very nice variety. There's even the choice for either "Street style" (authentic Mexican) or Tex-Mex (more Americanized). They truly aim to please. The complimentary salsa was delicious, the chips were fresh and not salty or greasy. I chose 2 items from the Tapas menu: a grilled shrimp soft taco and a tostada with their signature cochinita pibil. Both were fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. I enjoyed every bite. Tapas is just perfect if you want to sample a few different items. My husband had traditional ground beef tacos which he said were excellent. He also had the Flan for dessert which was decadently delicious and beautifully presented. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food was evident. We even got to meet the chef and compliment him on his talents! We will definitely be back to this gem of a find. Hampstead is fortunate to have such a great, authentic Mexican restaurant.

LunaZul is often our Friday Night choice for a delicious dinner! Usually we order carry out but this evening we dined in and the experience was fantastic! Our waitress, Kim, was amazing and we got to meet Jorge the chef and were able to commend him on his incredible meals! We highly recommend LunaZul for both carry out and dining as it is such a good experience all the way around!

Service was excellent. The food was not a wow for me. It was good, but I am picky about my Mexican food bc I grew up on it. The chef/cook was great and told me that I could request changes. My only real negative was the margarita. Tasted like straight lime juice.

Fantastic Mexican joint. I work in Hampstead and it's the BEST place to for lunch. Never had a bad meal and their free chips and salsa are excellent and homemade. Nice varied menu with some more authentic options.
