Fred The Butcher

Wow! BEST seafood BEST meat ALWAYS fresh. BEST service FRIENDLY staff and shoppers, such an other-worldly shopping experience in the most positive way. I have never been more blown away by a butcher and a grocery store. I’ve never seen anything more consistently fresh anywhere. And... Fred’s is the only shop to carry kidney organs that I know of! WE LOVE FRED THE BUTCHER!

This is one of the best butchers around! Their meats are perfect! Smoked, seasoned or untouched, you won't be disappointed! It's superior to anything that I can get in the grocery stores! Be prepared to wait because there IS a line most days. The morning at open especially. I just stood in line outside for almost 45 minutes waiting for them to open and let people in, but it's definitely worth it. Yes they do have covid capacity limits monitored by employees. We always go here to get the meats for our special meals. This is a Clifton Park community staple that outshines anything like it!

One of my favorite places in the area but so disappointed. Why aren't you people wearing your masks properly? Why wear them at all if all your butchers are just waltzing around with their noses hanging out? Do you not get it? Don't wear them at all if they are not over the nose, you aren't doing anything to protect your customers. Not going back and it kills me to say it but you'll probably kill me anyway. Alex, you are an owner you need to act like one. Wear your mask properly, tell your staff to wear their masks properly and lead like an owner. Shame on you all. I feel sorry for the staff that are actually wearing their masks properly yet still have the stress to work in that environment.

Everytime we go here (my wife and I) we come out saying just how nice and helpful everyone is. Their quality is top notch, we notice a difference in how fresh and high grade all of their food is. We make it a point to come here for our meat purchases, nearly an extra 20 minute drive out of our way and local area, because it is that noticably better. Give it a shot, I think it'll impress you too!
