The Smokey Bone Bbq

Multiple mask signs on the front door stating they wont serve you if you're not wearing a mask. Walked in without one and nothing happened. There were 3 staff. Two with masks below their noses and 1 with it below her chin. So what the point? As for the food....Turkey was good, Brisket was dry and the pulled pork was even more dry. Corn bread was pretty good, beans were ok and the coleslaw was pretty decent. Get over the whole mask BS! They are pointless and you look like clowns with all your signs but staff cant even wear them properly.

The Smokey Bone is the real deal! I have eaten Virginia, Carolina, Texas and Kansas BBQ and this place hangs with the best from any of theses states. Portions are generous and the sides are as good as the meat and the house sauces are so good....I may have stolen a bottle or two. I have been known to randomly drive from Rexburg to here, just to eat brisket and ribs. Is a 6 hour drive to much, not if you love real BBQ!! For the person way down on the reviews who said their meat was raw......well that pink ring around the outside edge of the meat is the halo of real smoked authenticity!

This review is based strictly on service and not on their food, which we didn't get to try. We arrived at 7:15 on a weekday evening for dinner. Out of all of their advertised menu items, they only had turkey left. My main issue here is that the kids behind the counter welcomed us and let us get about 30--45 seconds into placing our order before they thought to mention the fact that they were out of, well, basically everything.

WAY OVER RATED WAY OVER PRICED. The pictures look bigger than they are. Soggy, not fresh fries, 1 piece of COD with rubbery breading which also was not fresh 14$. We asked for medium well, not burnt hamburgers. All 4 we're burnt! 5 small slices of the raspberry cheesecake 1 chocolate 24$ it's was pretty good but not that good. Coleslaw was good. RIBs had a great texture, although they came with NO BBQ sauce and the only option was a 12$ side of it. Should have been given with or put on the dang ribs. But they come with a very heavy dry rub with a bad after taste. 30$ not worth it! We threw away 40% of it our food away becauset it tasted bad and was old. WHEN YOU PAY TOP DOLLAR PRICES FOR AVERAGE FOOD IT SHOULD BE FRESH! DONE PERFECTLY HOW REQUESTED.

Average. The brisket was over cooked and dry. The potato salad is a bit tasteless. The beans, however, were good. I've been here quite a few times attempting to figure out the food quality and don't rush to judge. But it isn't the best barbeque. It isn't bad, but not great. The prices are inline with every other place in the Valley.

The food is excellent and extremely tasty! The staff work very hard to provide excellent customer experience and customer service! Two individuals here deserve awards for their outstanding customer service and experience!! To anyone looking for authentic bbq this is the place!! I will definitely come back to this restaurant!! If your new to the valley I highly recommend this place!! Also they have received an award for the Best BBQ in Hailey, Ketchum, Bellevue and Sun valley! As for the meat being out at 6pm. Their lunch rush is hectic! These people can't guage on how much service and or business they get during the day. Ribs take a total of 4+ hours to cook. And they are prepped via the way how much meat and customers they get. Most of the negative reviews on this board are from bad management and now they have a caring loving manager who drives their employees to provide this customer experience and customer service. To provide excellent food!!
