I'm picky about BBQ, but did enjoy it. The catfish was absolutely amazing, the pulled pork was very good, but the brisket was a bit too fatty.
You order at the counter, bring cash because they don't allow tips on a card. The tip jar is on the counter as they don't do table service.
The staff was friendly & my order was ready fast.

Love their burnt ends, big Texan sandwich, collard greens, pickles. Often great specials. Great beer selection. I live in Northampton and try to make trips to or through Hadley to coincide with mealtimes whenever possible. A gem.

Wildwood Barbeque is a cut above.
We knew we wanted bbq for our wedding and after eating at wildwood prepandemic (when they used to offer a brunch buffet🤤), we knew they would be a perfect fit for our backyard bbq wedding vibe. Glenn was able to get us freshly made sauce to give our guests as a wedding favor and the food they served on the day was absolutely wonderful. (Always go with the brisket!) Glenn was so easy to work with and really helped us stay realistic with what we needed and what people were likely to want. His experience with catering was clear with all his recommendations and help. We recommend them highly for your bbq needs!

What an absolutely wonderful BBQ restaurant. Food was divine, customer service was welcoming, fast, and just overall great.
Originally wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse but had an hour wait so we took a shot on this place, and boy was it worth it! Leaps and bounds better in quality and taste of food.

I found this returant on Google and decided to patronize it for my birthday. The atmosphere was quite basic. No ambiance at all, but clean. We ordered the brisket, jambalaya, cajun rice, mac and cheese, potato salad, and barbecue chicken. Cornbread comes with every meal. We love the brisket and cornbread only. The brisket was tender and so good with their BBQ sauce. The rest of our entrees were not that flavourful, and our food was cold when we received it. The service was very good. They were very friendly and kind, so it's hard to rate this restaurant a three star, but the food is the reason we went there and it was not that good.

It's not bad, probably more like 3.5 stars than 4. The smoked chicken is good. The brisket was dry. The sides are quite good, and they have more variety than lots of other barbecue places. Nice to have another barbecue option in the area.

This is such an amazing place, the food is out of this world. It's probably the best food I've ever had. From now on I'm going to this place religiously.
If you like BBQ, this is the best place.
I got the pulled pork and pulled chicken, I decided against getting sauce with them and it was unbelievably flavorful.
Try this place, you won't regret it.

Update 6/13/23
I visited again today to see how things are going. While they still would not be mistaken for Texas or Southern barbecue, their heart is in the right place. We ordered the catfish with jambalaya and the pulled chicken with house-made pickles and mashed potatoes. We both had cornbread and split a slice of pecan pie.
The service was friendly and on the ball.
Chicken should really be called chopped rather than pulled: it needed the bbq sauce to give it flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes and house pickles were pretty good! The catfish was perfectly done in thin filets. The jambalaya was more like Spanish rice but still tasty. The pecan pie was sinful — but — the layer of semisweet chocolate chips was unorthodox and unnecessary! The cornbread is of the sweet-cake variety rather than savory or spicy. They seem to have redesigned their ordering line a bit and streamlined their menu boards in favor of a printed menu, and that works well.

((ORIGINAL REVIEW))
The only thing keeping this gem from five stars is that they fall down on desserts. They would benefit from a Southern pastry chef who could set them up with pies and cobblers. The selection is consistently heavy, bland, soggy pastry.
The good news is the barbecue is top notch and for real, and the specials are creative and on point. They even have vegan and gluten-free options. Good selection of beer.
Update Oct 2019
Downgrading a couple of stars: I got food poisoning here: had a very unpleasant night. They need to review their processes.

Very good barbecue! Stopped in during a work trip for lunch. My eyes were much much bigger than my stomach as I had to take a good portion of my meal back to the hotel.
I ordered the two meat combo plate with pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Everything was good but i especially loved the potato salad.
Prices were fair especially given the ample portion sizes provided. Will definitely visit again when in town!

Really enjoyed the quality of BBQ here. Had a full rack of ribs, order of burnt ends, BBQ beans, slaw, Cajun rice and pickles. Place was nice, clean, staff was friendly and they play great music! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back! ✌😎
