14 parish is a great place to go the food is very good, I would recommend the jerk chicken and waffles. The environment is very electric even on a lazy afternoon. The bartenders make really good drinks and very friendly staff. I would recommend getting some of their cocktails right after work. Sitting at the bar gives you a first person view of how they make their drinks and how they make it more appealing to the eyes. I didn't have to wait long to get a seat even though they were full of people. Loved the Caribbean music playing in the background it's a great place to meet someone or just out for a nice date. The dress attire that works here is nice casual and and in the evenings dressed up more works great. It has the feel of a upscale restaurant with a vibe that works for different age groups from 24-60. It's in the Hyde Park area so easy to get to and their bar has nights where they are open late. Many places in Hyde Park close early and if you want a nice mixed drink your choices are limited past 11pm. This place works any night of the week and just as good in the day time.

I was in the mood for Jamaican food and had this spot on the list. I ordered my food online. I ordered the red snapper and the king fish. A few minutes later they called me and said they had no red snapper and no king fish. Bummer! I went with the sweet chili salmon and the whiting. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby and walked in. I was greeted and told them my name. The nice young lady grabbed my food and handed it to me and I left. When I got in I dug in and the food was very good. The salmon was very filling and the sweet chili was very good. I also enjoyed the whiting. I had a good experience and would return.

NOTE: if you are paying with a credit card, restaurant passes their credit card fees to their customers, so expect to pay an additional 3.99% fee. My friend and I were in the mood for Caribbean food and I remembered that there was a Jamaican restaurant nearby. It is a small takeout place with no indoor seating. The menu is pretty big and the staff moderately friendly. I ordered large sweet chili chicken with oxtail gravy (extra charge), cabbage and rice. The portion is very large and filling. Chicken was crispy with an ample amount of seasoning, but the rest of the dish was lackluster. Both cabbage and rice were bland, lacking taste and salt. If you are very hungry, you will likely enjoy it, but if you are an adventurous eater who appreciates delicious food, this place will likely disappoint.

Wonderful stew beef with all the African flavor plus Jamaica island flair. Just the right level of spiciness. Great food and even better value. Takeout only, no problem with Apple Pay.

My pregnant wife just left here tonight and we were excited about getting curry chicken, Mac and cheese, and cabbage (her craving). However, when we went to eat the chicken, we noticed it was pink. My wife called the place and was told by whoever answered the phone that she was lying and that, whoever answered the phone, went and checked and there was no pink chicken. Unfortunately, we wasted $25 on uncooked, under seasoned food. Such a terrible experience. Please see photos for a truthful account of our night.

Best Jamaican food in Bergen County! The young lady who takes the order is fantastic! She displays excellent customer service and when I had an issue with my order she went out of her way and beyond to make sure I was satisfied before I left the restaurant. The owner is a great guy, always so polite. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. Everything is delicious!

Came on a whim me and my partner and has a subpar experience. We walked into an empty restaurant 50 min before closing and the cashier is on a tablet and doesn't acknowledge us until about 1 minute of us standing there. Then kept repeating out order cause she wasn't listening. All we ordered was 1 large cowfoot and 2 sodas. Well, I seen the cowfoot and asked if there was more in the back since this was filled with all bones. She yelled to the woman in the back and was told yes. So bow another woman comes to serve the CF and I asked about the food in the back, she then proceeds to argue with me that there's no more even after she heard me ask and the reply I received. Anyways, she starts scooping and said she will skim the bones in the back and the chef came out and said she will see what she can do........ long story short I had 32 knuckles in my bowl with less than a 1/4 cup of meat total. We got to the car and tried our dish....... well let say I wasn't sure I asked for the right dish. It lacked texture and spice. Tasted like it was sitting in regular water honestly maybe a little cumin. Just bad. We had a terrible time fighting threw knuckles to get a taste of the meat. Won't be back and I assure you they will shape up after reading this. This was poor poor representation of your resteraunt. DR TATYANA

Another place I discovered on UberEats. It's a bit far from me but I was itching for some jerk chicken and this place knows how to make it right. Their portions are very generous. Their lunch offers are a bit smaller but it comes with a soda. I am a huge fan of their jerk chicken. I always get a large when I order and it's enough for 2 meals. Their patties are always delicious, although they never seem to get that portion of my order correct. I've always gotten different patties than what I have order but they are usually to my liking so no complaints but it sucks when they forget to pack them altogether. At first, I suspect my Uber Driver could taken it since they don’t seal their bags but it’s happen too often with far too many drivers for me to suspect the drivers. The restaurant need to do better of this regard!
