Bishop's Orchards

On the way home from RI to NJ we saw a sign for this place and decided to stop and take a look. We bought a slice of a lemon topped coconut cake. It was great. They were a full fledged farmers market, bakery, grocery store, and ice cream stand. I loved the train setup near the check out area. Great place to stop off the highway if you are passing by.

Came here on a whim and I’m so glad that we did! The ice cream was really fresh and they had a great variety of flavors. We had a great time browsing the market and took home some of the fudge, which is some of the best I’ve had! I definitely want to come back and pick my own fruit, have a tasting at the winery, or visit the Little Red Barn.

Best orchard for picking Raspberries, Apples etc. The store is exactly what you want for a local market. The staff is always helpful, always friendly. Best of all; the Bishops are always giving back to the community. Today they supported local vendors and small business owners by having an outside market. Proper social distancing and head count were followed.

I went to the creamery and ordered ice-cream. I ordered a small cup and I asked the young woman at the counter if multiple flavors can be ordered in a small cup and she said yes. I ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough and the cannoli. The chewiness of the cookie dough and the crunchiness of the cannoli were intended to interact in new and exciting ways. However, I was deceived, and served a cup with 2 scoops of cookie dough. The ice cream was delicious and beautifully creamy, but ultimately I was left with the foul taste of dissatisfaction and what could have been.
