Amazing. I am a Chinese food Fanatic and they are some of the best I've ever had. And they will literally customize any thing on the menu you want in any way because its all completely fresh cooked from scratch. So if you want this menu item but with the sauce from another one and maybe you don't want the onions at all in the sauce and maybe instead of fish you want chicken and maybe your on a diet and want the chicken grilled. It doesn't matter the owner waited on me personally he is in a wheelchair and he is the best. He is hilarious kind and wants nothing but for you to Love his food. And this is not uncommon. He waits on customers daily, if they aren't busy he may be the only one waiting tables. Now I will say that after he took my order another younger very quite girl served my food and what not and at times there was a bit of a language barrier as well as just pure misunderstandings of certain things. At which point he came out to take care of it himself and later on the Chef came and spoke to us also and delivered a final dish of ours just so that for future reference he understood exactly what and how we wanted certain things as well as what other things were because we thought certain words ment one thing and they actually ment something very different. As well the prices are Fair at best. I would say Cheap but I feel that would degrade their quality. Definitely under priced compared to quality and portion size and compared to other "hi end Fancy fine dining" Chinese restaraunts around the city. I recently moved to the west bank but have traveled quite a bit and every where I go I make sure to eat the Chinese food. Im also half Australian and I have never found any where nearthis level of quality food and service for any where near these prices. And that is truly saying something as Australia its right next to Asia so the Chinese there is pretty superb. I now eat this restaurant multiple times a week literally.

I'll never go back, my wife got very sick from the food. However the service was great. I hope the owner reads this and takes action. This once was a top rated restaurant. They need help in the kitchen, I would hate to see this place close because of neglect, the food must improve. You need to take action today.

My son works on the westbank & loves this place, so we had to give it a try. What a great place! The steak on a stick was so tender, it melted in our mouths. I had the soft shell crab with crawfish which was so fresh and flavorful that I couldn't stop eating it even though I was full. One of my sons had his favorite General's Chicken. Since they will often make something not on the menu, my other son asked for Cantonese shrimp. My husband chose the Shanghai Chicken. The homemade sauces for every dish were fantastic, and we had food to take home. We will definitely make the trip across the bridge again to eat there.

The Red Palace is a stereotypical, highway-fronted Chinese restaurant (sort of shabby- you know the type). But, the interior does seem to have been renovated as recently as 1991. I ordered the Lunch Special ($6.75) Mandarin Chicken, which came with good oily (not greasy) shrimp-fried rice, an outstanding egg-roll, and interesting chicken, in the sense of its semi-clear brown sauce, as opposed to the usual opaque, thick gravy. A separate metal vessel of duck sauce was brought to the table (good stuff, too). The only drawback was the slightly-slow service and the fact that the entree did not come over a bed of lettuce, which I assumed was the norm for Mandarin Chicken. There is easy parking and easy access to U.S. Hwy. 90 Business Route (West Bank Expressway). They also have a separate bar area, which seemed pretty nice. Looked like they had some regulars, hanging out in there. I'd recommend this place and would return. RJT

The food was very tasty. We ordered shrimp fried rice and egg rolls to go. We called ahead and the food was ready and still hot. Good job!

I have to say, you see this place and your kinds sketchy about it , but the staff are amazing as well as the food! I'm assuming the owner is there all the time and he is super sweet and funny and very friendly ! Me and my boyfriend always come here when we are in the mood for Takeout ! This is the best place hands down and the prices aren't honestly that bad !

Always pleasant with good priced real Chinese food. Plenty of choices. The owner is always there and is a great host. We go to the Red Palace at least once a month.
