Some friends recommended this place to us. Honestly I was very nervous at first it’s not the most attractive place. But the food is amazing we fell in love the first visit and have been back many times since never been disappointed!!

I had a poor experience at this restaurant. Upon entering, I noticed that the carpets needed vacuuming, and the tables and booths could have used another pass with a towel. We were the only ones there at about 11:30 on a Sunday morning, so it's not likely we caught them after a huge rush. We were served chips and salsa while we looked over the menu. My wife found a silver hair in her salsa. The waiter apologized and brought a new one. Why we didn't get up and leave at this point, is our bad. It didn't get better from here. I ordered a chicken taco and received shredded beef, I also bit into an avocado stem in my guacamole. Overall, the food was bland; heavy on salt, light on other spices and seasoning. To give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were having an off day; but given my first impression, I will NOT give them a second chance.

Our plans of a family gathering and good food turned into a melting mess. This has hit the top of my list in wort experiences with any restaurant! After calling we let them know we would be on the way the waiter said he would be able to accommodate a spot for 12 people. We approached the restaurant with the door open on a hot day, as we sat down the temperature only increased. After waiting 10 min I asked if he could turn on the A/c and get some drinks and I ordered water because of the heat. 20 pass and he explains that he forgot about the drinks and the A/C has not been working but he could get started on our meals. At this point we should have run. There was a small group in the back that seemed to be upset as well but otherwise did not seem extremely busy. We started receiving our meals after 1 hour after ordering and did not get water I had to ask multiple times to get refills of water and had to go to the bar to ask. During our meal I had to fight with the sweat and flies. Summary El Indio is across the street please don't waste your time here.

Sorry but flavor-less food. Nice young lady waited on us. I don't think that we will go back. Went back December 7th 2018. Ordered two margarita and tasted like stale margarita mix and no tequila. When asked waitress to fix she brought back the same drinks tasting the same way they did before. We finally decided to just eat the meal and not pay for the drinks. To have a successful you have to take care of your customers. Sorry not going to go back ever again

Horrible service! No forks or spoons with napkins on the table. The waiter woman was not friendly and the food was ok. The horchata was without flavor and the waitress said that it was their best horchata and that it was really yummy! That was a lie. It was awful. Don Pedro has way better horchata than they do (7 mares). I will not come back here. My husband was also not satisfied with their service but thought that the food was ok as well.

Used to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in the South East Portland, but since the main cooker guy left few years back the place went down, I went there couple times to give them a change and honestly I was very disappointed. Hopefully they get somebody better in their kitchen and better management.

Service is....slow, always. But just hunker down and get the best dang Mexican food in Gresham. We are always the only "gringos" in the place. Best fish tacos this side of the border.

Amazing salsa. Huge tacos with excellent taco sauce. Plan on going back to try their other dishes. Horchata is on point. Highly recommend. Go there now, don't look back.
