Excellent food, nice waiter, very cozy ambiance and once one couple left, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Other people are right that this is a hidden gem. I was happy to see many vegetarian options that my man and I could choose from. Definitely coming back for their mushroom soup or even to relax and kick back on their comfy chairs with a coffee.

I love the brownie, baked in a mini-loaf pan, with melty chocolate chips! Co-owner Kathy bakes the desserts herself. Her husband, Brett, gave us very good table service, though the two of them are doing everything themselves nowadays. Two visits in two months--going to go back for takeout soon!

What a complete hidden gem! I am so sad that I haven't known of this place sooner. Although it may be a blessing as I would be here every week. Our food was amazing. Lets talk about the pastries... OMG so yummy!! Im going back this week to order one of their whole bundt cakes as well.

Appearance wise this place is darling. Clean, cosy and has a good energy. Service was extremely slow given that there was not a soul inside or outside. 30 minutes for a panini seemed like a stretch. The waiter never came to check on me.
The food was pretty good I enjoyed the beer batter fries. However, I must say that a restaurant these days that doesn’t have ranch dressing is not a place I will happily return to. “Gresham gravy” is a staple.
14$ was my total. I don’t feel like it was overwhelming expensive however not much is stopping people from going a few blocks down to jazzy bagels and getting the same exact thing for $8.

Bistro 214 is such an amazing place, I love the food its delicious! I would highly recommend the breakfast paninis, and the Greek yogurt with granola. It is such a cute and cozy cafe so you should really check it out.

Those of us who have been to Europe know there is something special about how restaurants there present their entrees and the pride they have in their family recipes. Bistro 214 exhibits that same culinary love yet with an appropriate local flavor. .

When I went, it wasn't busy at all. In fact, my boyfriend and I were the only there. Server was nice and food was great! I would love to come back to this cute spot.

Amazing Private party hosts!. Scott and Katherine did an amazing job hosting a private birthday party for 30 people. The menu was a hit, and food pleased all. The space and service was perfect. And a better value you will not find. Thanks for helping create fabulous memories!

Excellent place, downtown Gresham is lucky to have it. We've been here about 5 times recently and will keep coming back. All the food I have tried has been great and we love the relaxed quiet atmosphere.

Great Bistro!. Bistro 214 is a quaint little shop in downtown Gresham. It features typical bistro fare, panini's, salad, pasta, dessert, coffee, wine, and a sampling of flavored water. The ambiance is delightful. They have used outdoor string lights and hung them decoratively along the ceiling. The effect is soft lighting. The staff are always great help and friendly. The menu is small enough that you don't sit and stare for too long. The food is great. I am rather fond of the baked macaroni and cheese with chicken. They use Cavatappi pasta, a homemade sauce that has just the perfect amount of tang, and shredded chicken (if you get added chicken), it's then topped with bread crumbs. This is so good that I had this 3x in 1 week.<br/>Although I prefer to dine in, you can also get orders to go.

Sourpuss hostess. I really wanted to like this place, but the person behind the counter was so sour that I wanted to leave and never come back. The sandwich I ordered was decent. I don't think I will be back for more because the attitude of the hostess made my first experience at this bistro very unpleasant. Too bad.

A great little bistro finds Gresham, now Gresham should find it.. The Fish Chowder/stew on Fridays is so good, my 90 year old Dad sent me out this evening to get a bowl for him and a cup for my Mom. It is delicious. Their service is everything you want in a local, once-upon-a-time small town, employees and owners relations kind of perfect Bistro/Cafe. <br/><br/>I had a great 10 Barrel IPA, but the Take-Away food was ready before I had finished my pint. I didn't hurry, I enjoyed the brew. And I very safely drove myself to my parents.<br/><br/>Don't pass by the Tiramisu, or the other desserts either. <br/><br/>It's a great addition to Gresham. Awesome food. I had the meatball panini with beef barley soup. Also had to try a chocolate cookie, Highly recommend. The atmosphere and dining area is top notch with a reasonable price menu. I will definitely be returning

Hubby's sandwich was wonderful. Mac n Cheese with chicken was good, my preference would be for it to be a little moister and to have a piece of fruit with it. Ambience is minimalist but very pleasant. New place, think it needs to maybe just mature a pinch. Things like server noticing that both occupied tables needed water, a touch of parsley in a corner of the pasta bowl & a strawberry or small piece of pineapple on the plate. Will def return.

Coffee and paninis. Great place! The food and coffee are excellent, and so is the service. I've been to this relatively new place several times - for dinner with my wife, for breakfast, to hang out and study, for coffee to go - and it's been a pleasant experience each time. It's clean and classy inside and in a really good location in historic downtown Gresham. Though the food is definitely above typical coffee shop fare in quality, presentation, and portion size, the price is not. The hearty breakfast paninis are a must-try!

Best Coffee and Panini w/ Soup in Gresham. Its about time that East Multnomah County got some good food! Bistro 214 is a small Italian cafe with daily "made from scratch" soup specials. They serve illy coffee imported from Italy and make fresh pastries to get you through your day in a classy way. This establishment is clean and relaxed; functionally adorned with cloth napkins and large windows. Great food, quick service (with a smile), with a quality-based vision for food and coffee. I eat here often and strongly recommend the Italian Trio or the Chicken Club Paninis. Also a great place to grab drinks and an appetizer after work with a decent selection of local micro brews and wine. Check 'em out, the only problem is they're hard to find/see from driving on Powell. But they are worth the find.
