We were out on a motorcycle ride and at the last minute found this place. Very friendly staff that let me use my limited Spanish to order our food. The food was the BEST Mexican food we have found in Arkansas by far. Being from California we KNOW what good Mexican food should be. I would give them a solid 7 out of 10. The only draw back is they tone down there salsa so we had to ask for a more FUEGO or spicy salsa... that green salsa was a 10.

I wanted something different so I ordered the veggie burrito. Asked for substitution of beans instead of mushrooms, wasn't in the mood for them... I did not realize how many onions would be in this burrito? So unless you really like onions this might not be the burrito for you! the veggies were done fajita Style.. I think I would have enjoyed it all more, if the cheese and sour cream and lettuce would have been put on the side and the queso to one side as well? The salsa on top I added from the chips. I did think the pricing was very reasonable. I've had other dishes from there that I liked better

Service was wonderful. Waitress was very gracious and kept our drinks filled and always had a smile for us. Food was excellent and hot when served to us.. Portions were not small. Will be going back.

I ordered the pollo con queso and it was awful! The chicken was nearly burnt. Sent it back and they replaced the meal with enchiladas. Rice was bland and undercooked. Wait staff and owner was very polite and worked hard to resolve the issue.

Awesome service! Food is Fantastic! Carry out and curbside pick up, oh honey yes! No Alcohol service which is its only downer. But Overall magnificent!!👍👍👍👍👍

El palenque is hands down the best resteraunt in Greenwood. They have an extensive menu to satisfy the pickiest of eaters and their friendly staff always aims to please 👍
