El Centenario Restaurant Mexican Cuisine

Food is somewhat decent but service is awful, takes minimum 1 hour to get your food on a slow night - and don’t even think about wanting a drink or chip refill! Update: I waited an hour for my food today, only 4 other people in the restaurant. My food finally came out and I was given dirty silverware. Had to ask for a new set 3 times before they brought me some that was actually clean - after consecutively bringing DIRTY silverware literally 3 times.....

Best Mexican restaurant in Greenwood. I am from California originally so know good Mexican food and am particular . Nice selection on the menu. . Love the Poplanos and the carne asada and every other dish I have had . The owner Jose is wonderful and friendly. The service is great every time we come. The restaurant is clean. The plates and utensils are clean. They have music. Love it. Margaritas are also really good.

The food was excellent. I got the Arroz con Mariscas. The shrimp were cooked perfect and the scallops tender. However the service was seriously lacking. Took over 10 minutes to get menus and another 10 before drink orders were taken and chips brought out. Another 20 passed before we were able to place our orders and several mixups happened when the food finally arrived. Our waitress was very polite and it seems most of the issues were due to understaffing. I do intend to return and am hoping the service has improved.
