Absolutely love this restaurant! It's Chinese done extremely well. Portions are large with very affordable prices. Menu is extensive with an entire section of spicy options. Mei Fun is harder to find on the southside & they even have a spicy option for it, as well. Chicken sticks weren't tough which has become the norm at many other restaurants I've tried. I definitely have a new favorite Chinese takeout place.

I have been going here since high school back in 2009. Their food is always hot, fresh, cheap, and tastes amazing! They have the best egg rolls in the area for sure.

The staff are very helpful & nice, but the food is terrible. My sweet 'n sour pork is incredibly greasy & has far too much batter wrapped around the tiny cubes of meat. I have an aweful stomachache & feel faint.

I have eaten from here over 50 times. Let me tell you something happened in early 2020, I think either the cook changed or they started sourcing their ingredients from another vendor. Not sure but the day I decided I would never order from this place again is when i ordered lobster fried rice and received fried rice with some imitation crab meat thrown in. I also received maybe 10 tiny things that looked like shrimp. Again for almost 2 years this place was solid. Then something happened. Anyway looking for a new regular place !

Never ordering from here again. Delivery was quick and delivery person was nice but it didn't make up for the terrible food. Chicken Fried rice was so overcooked it was almost burnt and it had no egg in it whatsoever. Worst CFR I've ever had. Bourbon chicken had a funny texture to the meat and was covered in a slimy sauce that tasted nothing like bourbon sauce. Egg drop soup way too thick. Sweet and sour chicken sauce was disgusting. Don't waste your money here. Go to Lotus Garden on Smith Valley and US 31. The food is ALWAYS good there.

I've been going to Wang Cai for all of my takeout needs since 2014. The owners are so, so sweet, and even when I moved away for a while they remembered me when I came back. The food is always delicious, and they throw in free extras sometimes, which is always nice.
Everyone has their favorite comfort places, comfort foods, etc. My top three foods are chocolate, ice cream, and fried rice.
Ultimately, if you're looking for a local business to support that's not a chain and profits go directly to the people, Wang Cai is the place to go

This has been my family's most favorite place for several years now. Their food is delicious and never disappoints. Just about weekly I get their tofu with general tsos sauce with vegetable rice and steamed veggies. My partner and my kids love their lo mein and sesame chicken. It's always clean when I go to pick up my orders and the staff has always been super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

No more wang cai for us! Called tonight to order delivery and we were told they no longer deliver. After being a faithful customer for 4 years, we won't be ordering food from here any more. That's terrible. Why would you do that? Very disappointed.

Fried rice.... The sweet and sour chicken is wonderful. But as I had gotten my egg drop soup, there were black pieces in there like it was old and the fried rice is TERRIBLE ..

Poor customer service and disgusting food. Food- spring rolls contained small amount of shrimp but smelled very fishy. Steamed dumpling's meat filling was tough and bland.<br/>The seafood delight was overcooked and contained tough lobster and imitation crab. The fried donuts contained about a tablespoon of sugar. The general tso's chicken and green beans in garlic sauce were marginal at best. <br/><br/>Customer Service- our order was delivery. When my husband called to complain about the seafood delight. He was told to bring it back tonight for replacement.<br/>He reminded them we had ordered delivery and asked if we could bring it back to tomorrow. They said, " no it has to be tonight." We decided to take a loss. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Best in the West in So Many Ways. I've spent a lot of time in many different parts of China. I've worked as a waiter in two different Chinese restaurants, though that has been over a decade ago. This is literally the best Chinese food I've ever had at any restaurant in America and the closest I've experienced to authentic Chinese cuisine outside of China. You can't go wrong here. The prices are reasonable, the service is prompt, and everything I've ever eaten there has been outstanding. I even appreciate that they use the more durable containers for take out. It makes it easier for me to keep and reheat leftovers and nothing gets soggy or spilled.

Typical Chinese. To think that this place is any better or any worse than other Chinese Restaurants in the area would simply be a waste of my time. It is the same Chinese food that comes from the same supplier as all the other Chinese food in the US. Don't kid yourself that this is any different.<br/><br/>They do have some of the cheapest prices for their stuff I've seen around here so far. So that might be a good reason to come here.<br/><br/>I swear my wife and I ordered roughly the same thing that we did from My Thai Cafe for about $10 less once it was all done and over with. Ridiculous.

Bad Food Bad Service. I tried this restaurant and ordered 2 sesame chickens...it was so dried out that it could not be eaten...so I contacted the owner to get a refund he said he would not refund but would send more chicken...but once burned on the food I just simply want my money back and he refused and I could hear him in the back ground being angry...hence this review...I had to eat the cost and not the chicken...I will never order from this restaurant again. Bad Food and Bad Service....I hope no one else gets taken like I did !!!! I work hard for my money and find this restaurant to be on my NO GO list...

Tonight was the first time we have eaten here. There were a lot of good reviews, so we thought we would give it a try. I had the sweet & sour chicken with white rice and sauce on the side. It was the same you would find at most anywhere else. Nothing unique about it. My husband had the general tso's chicken with fried rice. He said that while the chicken was cooked nicely, the sauce was quite bland. We also had pork egg rolls. They had more pork than most places, but not a lot of flavor. While we didn't think this place was "bad", it wasn't good enough for a return visit.

Absolutely horrible! This is not Chinese food. I tried the special lo mein, shrimp with lobster sauce, fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, wonton soup, AND the spring roll. NOTHING was good; NOTHING! I wasted money and had to find something else for my family to eat for dinner. The reviews I read were all incorrect. This place is HORRIBLE!!!

The food was not delicous. We ordered hunan beef, beef and broccoli and mongolian beef. The first 2 dishes were drowning in hoisin sauce ad barely contained beef. The mongolian beef appeared to have a whole large onion chopped thick little meat and a terrible sauce. We asked them to correct the foul mongolian beef they began screaming at each other in chinese. They then confronted us and said this is how it is made. They refused to take it off thebill and threw it in the trash in front of us. WORST FOOD HIDEOUS SERVICE! We wil never eat there again.

Best in the area. No scary yellow rice here! This place has everything you'd expect from Chinese take-out, and a little more. I love that I can get a combo plate with my entree being crab rangoon!

I Like Wang. This place is good. The menu is similar to many places, but the flavors are unique and exciting to the tongue. The fried rice is really brown in a Cantonese style way , but is neither salty from soy sauce or carmelized from the wok. It was good, but still trying to figure that one out.

This is by far the best chinese restaurant! Not just on the south side, but in Indy! The food is as good as any I have had in Chinatown in Boston! I have ordered all sorts of things and never have been disapoonted. They will also customize an item to your liking. Want extra veggies? Got it. Want it spicy? Got it! Not so spicy? Got it! Don't just stick with the basics. Try some of there house specialties. You won't be disapoonted!

Great Chinese Food. We send for chinese every one in awhile and this place has great food! I have tried a lot of the dishes and not gotten a bad one yet. My son really likes the chicken on a stick and the portion sizes are good. We can eat for 2 days on it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Awesome!. My family and I were really happy to find a Chinese restaurant which delivers after moving from a larger city. I was upset at first because we were further than they drove (4.51 mi.), but after we hung up, they called me back and said they would deliver if it was more than $20. Of course!!! I was so happy that I didnt have to pack up the kids to drive in. The food is wonderful and so is the service. A real treat for this area!

We Love It.....LOTS!!!!!!. My boyfriend and I order from this place at least 5-6 times a month. He is obsessed with their chop suey, and everything you get from there is cooked to your order, they understand everything you say and never get your order wrong. We have tried many other things on the menu as well and everything has always been wonderful. It is very inexpensive and full enough portions even my overeating boyfriend has leftovers for lunch for the next day. We usually get delivery and they are here within 15 minutes every time. You can subsitute and add things to your dishes and they get it right every time. Definitely a winner! This place is the best chinese delivery, believe me we have tried them all in the Greenwood area. They are also very patient with your special requests and always get here in great timing. Please try this place they are great people and great food. One of a kind......we've ate at so many take out chinese and this one you can just tell its fresh to order and has a little more heart and soul than the other hole in the wall chinese take out places. Hope everyone tries it! Chop suey is great, also anything szchewan, vegatable fried rice has extreme amount of fresh veggies and is the best fried rice ever. We order 3 every time. Egg rolls, I guess everyone is getting my point, this place is great down to their crispy noodles. Thanks for reading the long review but we have a lot of passion for this place, especailly due to the fact they save the day on those long tired days we don't feel like cooking.

A great, inexpensive, find!. I'm new to the Center Grove area and tire of Panda Express. So I asked my neighbor where the best Chinese food in the area is. She recommended Wang Cai. I went last weekend with my husband and it was marvelous! The outside looks nothing like the inside. But we didn't know this is primarily a take out restaurant, and they deliver for free in the Center Grove area. We ate there and our portions were huge! Together our meal cost us $16.00 and that was with a soda. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
