Wang Cai

Absolutely love this restaurant! It's Chinese done extremely well. Portions are large with very affordable prices. Menu is extensive with an entire section of spicy options. Mei Fun is harder to find on the southside & they even have a spicy option for it, as well. Chicken sticks weren't tough which has become the norm at many other restaurants I've tried. I definitely have a new favorite Chinese takeout place.

I have eaten from here over 50 times. Let me tell you something happened in early 2020, I think either the cook changed or they started sourcing their ingredients from another vendor. Not sure but the day I decided I would never order from this place again is when i ordered lobster fried rice and received fried rice with some imitation crab meat thrown in. I also received maybe 10 tiny things that looked like shrimp. Again for almost 2 years this place was solid. Then something happened. Anyway looking for a new regular place !

Never ordering from here again. Delivery was quick and delivery person was nice but it didn't make up for the terrible food. Chicken Fried rice was so overcooked it was almost burnt and it had no egg in it whatsoever. Worst CFR I've ever had. Bourbon chicken had a funny texture to the meat and was covered in a slimy sauce that tasted nothing like bourbon sauce. Egg drop soup way too thick. Sweet and sour chicken sauce was disgusting. Don't waste your money here. Go to Lotus Garden on Smith Valley and US 31. The food is ALWAYS good there.

I've been going to Wang Cai for all of my takeout needs since 2014. The owners are so, so sweet, and even when I moved away for a while they remembered me when I came back. The food is always delicious, and they throw in free extras sometimes, which is always nice. Everyone has their favorite comfort places, comfort foods, etc. My top three foods are chocolate, ice cream, and fried rice. Ultimately, if you're looking for a local business to support that's not a chain and profits go directly to the people, Wang Cai is the place to go
