Brisket fell apart and was super juicy.. it was clean and the staff was friendly. Best Mac and Cheese ive ever had in my life. I loved the old school desk that you can eat at. Its a little pricey but i guess everything seems to be these days. Could of had some low music playing in background to add a little to the atmosphere.

In town and grabbed a lunch to go. Got loaded baked potatoes with chipped beef. Both of us agreed they were delicious! The brisket isn’t really smokey like I normally prefer but was very tender and had a great taste. Tried the ernie bombs too. We both thought they were heavier on cream cheese than we’d like them to be but still very good. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

The portions are generous, and they are quick to get your food to you. And staff was polite and courteous. They keep the lobby clean, having someone ensure it stays that way.

Husband and I stopped in here to grab a bite to eat after doing a little trailer shopping here in Greenville. Ernie’s Pit Barbeque is listed as a 4.6 on Google review and I can see why. Well actually I give this place a 5 out 5! I ordered the two meat plate with double brisket off the fatty side, baked beans and Mac n cheese. Definitely hit the spot! Great barbeque and excellent staff! I highly recommend Ernie’s!

Without a doubt some of the best BBQ East Texas has to offer. If you are anywhere close to Greenville, even if just driving through, pull off and get you some BBQ. Delicious.

This is a landmark BBQ place here in Greenville for a reason. We got takeout for some people helping us with a garage sale. The order was perfect.

Good food! Real good meat prep, but bark and sauce are not quite national quality. Not complex enough in its flavor, but still very good. Nice hometown folks! Service is fast even during lunch hour. Not a lot of tables; so, had to sit on the old-style wall bench with built-in seats made for skinny folks. Not the most comfy, but I still managed to stuff myself on fresh-cut fries, slaw, pintos, and the marbled brisket...fork tender! Yum!

Good brisket and ribs were delicious. Fries were great. Busy little place in Greenville, Texas. Limited seating with old school desks along the wall. Self serve condiments. Service limited to taking, preparing your order and you go get it. No nonsense BBQ place with a lot of carry out and big lunch crowd.
