I could go on for days bout this food right here but I will not just I’ve tried just about everything on the menu except Pork items and it all buss 🥰 The chicken is fried to perfection crunchy all around & so full of flavor, my yams sweet and perfect too & the mac mmmmmmm yeah its hittin too 💯 This is my favorite soul food spot in Greensboro hands down!!!!!! Oh forgot bout the Sweet Potato Cake 😩😩😩😩 soo dang good 😊

I have to say this was my first time trying this soul food restaurant but when I tell you LOVE was definitely out inside of the Mac and cheese omg! Literally some great Mac gotta try this out! We had the boneless breast meal it came with 2 side I choose yams and greens and a side of Mac! We also got the 3 wing meal with a piece of whiting (it has a name can’t remember it) and 2 sides came with that and we got double Mac for 80cents extra I believe. Also grabbed 3 strip meal with fries it was kinda thin strips and a small amount of fries. But nonetheless every was hot and fresh!!

All I have to say is if you are a fan of good soul food, I’m talking grandma’s Sunday dinner after the family hit the lotto!! The amount of love in this food is unmatched. I could care less about the long wait or random opening times, just finding this gem makes me feel special. If you are in a bad mood, feeling depressed or just need a pick me upper hit up the Godmother I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. This is coming from a picky eater who’s been all around the world. I wish I could keep her forever

Five stars to the food. That is my definition of soul food. I would order again. The only downfall is there were only two workers and a back up of food orders. Also, make sure you bring a card. My brother and I waited it out and I’m happy that we did!

The Food was very good and im the most pickiest person with my food you will ever know you cant fool me when it comes to food. Some of the best cooks and bakers where and some stiil is they are in my family everyone thinks there moma cooking is the best But thoses are the first meals you eat The Godmother of soul food got that favor.

I’m so impressed. 10/10. I had the meatloaf, rice and gravy, and cabbage with the cake. Y’all. When I say this food HIT!!! Whewwww Chile this the kinda food grandma makes when the family is having a big argument and she tryna smooth it over. I got full but the cake was so moist and soft. Lawd take all my money wheeewww yes I will be back. And the owner is mad chill and funny. Very homey.
