Our trip to kabuto was pretty good. We had excellent service and the volcano roll was delicious. The bananas are a good dessert for the end, and we enjoy them.
Tasty food, great environment. When you go to a Japanese steakhouse, you want high-quality food and an entertaining, talented chef, and you don't want to drop your life savings on dinner. Go to Kabuto; you'll be happy. It is a longtime favorite of mine in Greensboro. I've celebrated many birthdays and other occasions there.

Excellent sushi!! My favorite sushi spot in the triad.
Yes, it's pricey but well worth it. My family and I went last night and 5 of us ate hibachi for 80 with a free kids meal. We all took home about half of our food so that's dinner and lunch the next day for 80, 5 people. Not bad. Great food as always. I'd recommend the filet.
I like this place. Food always prepared correctly. My only complaint and the reason I don't really eat here is because they need to just throw in the towel on certain sea creatures, like red snapper. There are more sustainable options.
The food is amazing. It's. Pricey but well worth it!
Friendly and attentive staff, good food.. We visited Kabuto a few weeks back for hibachi and sushi after a day of rambling around guilford county. We ordered a terminator roll and two pieces of hamachi. The hamachi was very clean and fresh tasting. The roll was very well done. The rice was perfect and the integrity of the roll was top notch.
Our chef comes out to a table of uninterested tweens, their folks, and my wife and I. He did everything he could to get the kids interested in what he was doing, but didn't seem to have much luck. Just the same, the food we had was good.
Our steaks were cooked perfectly, we never had our glasses go less than half full, and it was an enjoyable evening. There are other options in greensboro where the prices may be lower, but I haven't experienced the same service as I did here.
Meh Shows, Good Rolls.. The teppanyaki (Hibachi) side of Kabuto lacks a lot of the flair that I have experienced at other Japanese Steakhouses, the food is good yet over priced. As a result at Kabuto I generally sit in the bar and order primarily Sushi, which is for the most part very tasty. I mostly stick with the more americanized specialty rolls as the more plain rolls are a bit lacking at this location. The specialty rolls however more than make up for any short comings of Kabuto.
Great soup. The "show" is not the best and the meals are a little pricey, but the food quality and taste are alway great. Parking can be a little tricky since the place is always very busy.
Good BUT....... I enjoyed our meal at Kabuto, to an extent. The kids were entertained for the most part and the chef tried to make it fun (he could have done better.) The food was pretty good but at the end of the experience, felt it was really overpriced. It was crowded and the service left much to be desired. I love japanese food but prefer elsewhere, especially for that kind of money. Better bet: Bonsai on bridford parkway. No chef at the table, but you get the same food for about 1/3 of the price. Service is excellent. Hostess is nice and prompt. We'll stick w/that!
