The falafel pita wrap is out of this world amazing! So much flavor and always fried perfectly.
The hummus side dish is probably the best hummus I've ever had, the big kicker of flavor in it is the use of the specialty extra virgin olive oil they drizzle on top. And you can't forget the delicious za'atar crispy pita chips. Addictive!
You'd be crazy to not go in here or check them out on grub hub!
I just brought home lunch from a downtown restaurant so let's do a review. Let's look at the Mediterranean/Greek/Middle Eastern cuisine seen in Greensboro. Okay so I have been Ghassans, Acropolis, Pita Delite, Sarah's Kabobs, Jack's Corner, Nazareth, Mythos, Koshary, and Jerusalem Market on Elm. Yes there are a few others in town notably Chef Samir Shaltout and Mediterraneo Restaurant that I have not been to. Then you may want to include the numerous Italian choices in town. But today let's focus on the Middle Eastern region including Egypt, Israel and Lebanon. (This region and Moroccan are my current favorites for true Mediterranean cuisine.)
For me the highest rating for me personally goes for Middle Eastern food is Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill and Lebanese Taverna in Washington, DC. Sadly neither are local. So with that as the taste to beat, locally I'm giving the nod to Jerusalem Market on Elm. Koshary and Nazareth are close seconds for flavor and authenticity. In third place is Jack's Corner. All the others while they serve good food they are watered down Americanized versions of the cuisine.
Back to the Jerusalem Market, I have not tried everything yet but what I have has been fantastic. The flavors are fresh and unique. The wraps are amazing and use a bread tasty enough and thick enough to hold the ingredients. But paper thin allowing the taste of the fillings to dominate. The Kibbeh and Kifta my Mediterranean cruise "yardstick" are perfect. No one piles on the food like they do a Nazareth and the Koshary's signature dish brings home style Egyptian to Greensboro. But the JM on Elm (the home location is way down Gate City almost to Jamestown) is a great addition to the local ethnic food scene as well as downtown. And #1 choice for great Middle Eastern food.
