Delicious food. Very fast service. I shop next door at the collectors store and have seen the restaurant everytime. This time my visit and hunger lined up to encourage me to eat here. Quality food, tasty and fast and friendly service. I was very impressed by the speed. Although I am a party of one, other surroundings tables seemed to receive their food quickly as well. Fransica was my server but others helped as well and all were kind and helpful. I ordered the chorizoqueso dip and a tamale as an app. The dip was great and I received a good amount of chorizo and it was very tasty. The tamale, I'm not sure from what part of Mexico they're from (before you say anything I'm Mexican; born in Los Angeles and my family is from Jalisco) but they put a sauce on top. Looks like the sauce they put on top of enchiladas. The tamale itself seemed good, the chicken inside didn't seem dried out and looked very fresh, I've just grown up eating tamales a different way I guess, not a fan. My entree was the daily special: chicken and chorizo quesadilla. Very delicious. Alot of chicken and chorizo, they got my specific order right and even had my favorite hot sauce. To end things I got some flan and horchata. The flan was ok. The horchata on the other hand...just like mom used to make. They also gave it to me in a huge Togo cup. Very nice. Although they seem to have the standard Mexican restaurant faire; from my experience compared to those chain/corporate restaurants and even some mom and pop restaurants, El sombrero differentiates itself from those in speed, food quality and taste. If you live in Greencastle I'm sure you know about it. If your traveling and/or in the area, it's definitely worth a stop or even a small detour.

The food was amazing. 100/10!! Best Mexican food I’ve had in my life (and I have had A LOT of Mexican food). We got there close to closing time but they still gave us a table. The food came out extremely quickly and the portions were filling. Definitely come here if you like good food.

Extremely good food, great service! I was very happily surprised with how quickly our food came out. The salsa and guacamole is delicious. The carnitas I had were amazing!

I will never be back to this restaurant. In my takeout bag was a religious tract. It is extremely offensive to me and has NOTHING to do with getting something to eat. Food was merely ok. I got the "deluxe" quesadilla and it was one soggy tortilla folded over. Decent amount of filling, though. They were out of a dessert item on their menu, which isn't a deal breaker, but was disappointing. However, the religious aggression IS a deal breaker.

I have been going to this restaurant for years and have gotta this meal (fajitas Ricas) on many different occasions. It was always delicious until recently. The past few times it has looked like this. The bacon being cooked like this is disgusting.Thinking the first time was a mistake, and being that I loved this restaurant, I returned a few times expecting it to be better. Maybe that was my mistake. I hope they get this fixed. Super disappointed.

It was our first time here and multiple other patrons even said that the service is aweful but the food is usually pretty good. Personally, I would not eat here again. The food was barely warm. It tasted okay but the worst part of this whole experience was the service. There were three people running the front and one person that I saw in the kitchen. The wait time to be seated, order our drinks and food and then waiting on food was much longer than needed especially with toddlers.Other people even got up and left. Not once, did our waiter check on us and ask us if we needed anything and we were there at least two hours.

Stopped in for a quick dinner while out on the bike with the hubby. I can't have anything spicy so I went with the nachos. Simple chips, chicken, cheese, and sour cream. WRONG! THE CHEESE WAS FREAKING SPICY AS HELL! The place looked newly built, but it was very dirty inside. All the tables had dirty plates piled on them. Looks like they needed some help. Only saw 2 servers. And 1 person in the kitchen.

Went two times in the last month, first time the food is great but the service is terrible, staff is young. While waiting for service there was three people that ignored us, then finally one of them came to get our drink order. After about 15 minutes one of the staff came to get our food order. Took forever to get our food. Decided to give them a second chance and the staff situation was the same, told the manager she needed to get her staff in order, she stated I know. We will never go back again, so sad the place is self destructing
