Top highlights:
Ambience: although It was quite quiet at around 915 hours on a weekday, ambience felt lovely, with soft music and lights, it felt like a really nice place for dinner.
Service: Servers were super nice and courteous. Promptly changed the dishes after our appetizer, re-filled the glass with coke.
Taste: Another typical Indian restaurant when it comes to taste;tomato and cashewnut curry for paneer/kofta. Strong smell of cinnamon/ginger in Dal Makhani. Not bad at all. Naan was fresh from the oven.
Timeliness: Food was served super quick, almost within 10 minutes of placing the order we got our food on the table.
Overall, great ambience and service with decent taste. Would definitely recommend dine-in over pickup.
Note- Coke was also served nicely in a separate glass with ice which is unlikely for an Indian restaurant where they generally handover a can of coke.
Weeknight dining with two young kids (2 years and 4 months). Food was great and so was the service. Food came out super fast (sort of expected given our order but nonetheless great). Flavors were rich and fresh. We live nearby and walked (the two year old drove his power wheel and parked on the sidewalk) so we will certainly be back many times and add this to our takeout rotation!
The food is amazing!!! The right amount of spice and really tasty!
Atmosphere is really nice and staff and attentive and professional!
We had lamb biryani, tikka masala, naan bread, samosa & allow tiki.
Will definitely be back or order take away!!
5/5 for service. 5/5 for cleanliness. 4.5/5 for food. Amazing taste, would recommend it to anyone looking for good Indian food at reasonable price. Staff was really polite and attentive. Just felt that biryani was little bit tangy but it could be my personal bias. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to friends and family.
This was a true miracle of a find. I knew I was in the right place seeing so many Indian people in the parking lot. The food is unbelievable and delicious. They take special care to create an mazing experience for every customer. If you're looking for a delicious authentic Indian food, this is a spot you cannot afford to miss.
Now good north indian food can be found in great falls, they have discontinued their lunch buffet, but have a Thali (which is an assortment of non fillable dishes)with your choice of protein,I had their chicken Thali which was fresh, yummy and a good size, only downside was the dessert which was kheer which was bland.,
Just loved this place.
Highly recommended:
Butter chicken - must try
Naan ( any kind) - never had such fresh one in virginia
Chicken Tandoori - Good
Virgin mojito - still feel the freshness
Tiramusu
Not recommended:
Chicken 65 - chicken is so chewy and tossed with sweet sauce.
Chicken biriyani - highly disappointed jus another rice mixed with some gravy.
Carrot halwa - not that bad. Taste like halwa made out of raw carrots.
Overall rating is 4
Ambiance and service is 5.
Great food...excellent service...reasonably priced menu. Must try Bombay shrimp and Machchi Kabob! Each item is so flavorful, machichi kabob (grilled salmon) melted in our mouth right away! We ordered rogan josh, and requested to make it with less gravy...they catered our request perfectly and we had the most amazing lamb dish on our plate. Also, they personally enquired about how we liked each individual item. Overall, a wholesome dining experience. Can’t wait to go back again.
Our first visit to Bollywood Bistro which is the sister to the restaurant in Fairfax.
Located off Route 7 and close to Reston, Sterling & Great Falls in a small shopping center.
5 adults and 2 children for buffet lunch. They joined a table for us and the buffet was pretty standard with veg and non-veg items. A little spicy with some items.
Nice table service bringing naans which were fresh.
For dessert halwa and fruit but we did ask for some kheer and since our family knew the owner, we were served some really nice warm kheer.
Very reasonable. Looked like quite a few people but the owner mentioned scare of the virus has kept business down which is a shame as restaurants like this deserve to be visited and kept going.
We ordered lamb biryani, dal makhni and alo chat papri. Food was good, portion was reasonable and ambiance was clean and quiet. They are doing good job in maintaining social distancing between people dining in.
