The lady that took our order and served us was very nice. We received fresh 100% Columbian coffee, which was very good. I ate with my mother-in-law and husband, and they said their food was pretty good! I ordered the Hungry Man (2 pancakes, 2 sausage links, 2 bacon, hash brown, and 2 eggs). Personally, the bacon was a little overdone and the hash browns were a little skimpy and crispy, not much "hash" to it, although I didn't mind the crispiness; it wasn't burnt. Everything else was perfect. My eggs were over-medium upon request and the pancakes were nicely fluffy with warmed syrup on the side.
There was a sign that said that they will be closing their doors, possibly by the end of March 2022. There is a bar next door with slot machines and pool table. You can order Frye's food at the bar, too; they just bring it over to you from nextdoor.
I have drove by this restaurant for ever and finally decided to give it a shot for breakfast. I tried the country fried steak and eggs and it was very good. The gravy was just right with the amount odmf spice. Most places has the gravy very bland. The steak itself was ok and was more like a chopped burger. Anyways, I was pleased with my meal and happy to back for dinner one time in the future.
It's small and cozy, and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. I ordered the Mexican skillet which was DELICIOUS, I LOVE chorizo! I would eat here again. The server was also friendly and made sure we were doing okay throughout out meal. Thank you!
Delicious as always but has gotten a little TOO expensive. Prices have gone up everywhere but nothing quite like I've seen here. But don't let that discourage you. If you can afford it then this place is always delicious.
Excellent portion size, service, and the food tasted wonderful. I ordered the Broasted Pork chops, came with two large chops, fries, cooked vegetables and a salad. All I'm able to say is amazing.
I’ve lived by this restaurant for over 5 years and the food has stayed as consistent as the quality. Highly recommended and will be going back again and again.
A hidden gem. I've driven past this place over 100 times and hadn't tried it until recently. Delicious breakfast, extremely kind staff, and is very close to home. I look forward to trying lunch and dinner here.
This is a true family restaurant. Mom and Pop run the front and back respectively. Oldest daughter waits tables to help in high volume times. Great value and better food!
Fryes has good eats. Chef can cook, and Maria the waitress is very nice also. Keep up the good work guys!
Gages Lake. ..support Frye's. They are good people. They have suffered flooding, hardship and kept serving the comfort food. C'mon....support these people while we get through 2020.
