Willhoite's

My husband was curious to try this historic restaurant but I was hesitant due to the negative reviews. We went early in the evening and there weren’t many people there. You do have to walk past the bar to get to the restaurant and there is a smell of cigarette smoke but it wasn’t overwhelming. However I could see how it could be if there were a large crowd. Our waitress was very friendly. I’m not going to say that the food is terrible because it isn’t, but it isn’t great either. A band came in and started singing before we finished our meal and they took time to talk with us before they started singing. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

This places has some truly awesome food and the atmosphere is like none other. It’s a very easy going and laid back place to grab a bite to eat and have some drinks with friends. It is also in a great location in the event that you want to try out other food or nearby activities. We go here 2-3 times a month just to relax and catch up together. Highly recommend you checking out this place if you haven’t been.

Great night time venue. Enjoyed the live music Friday night. Nice array of bikes parked out front. Fun pool table locations with balcony views of the band. The cat over the buffet is pretty cool. Didn't try and food, but I like the atmosphere. Really cool vintage signs and gas pumps from its pre restaurant days as a garage.

This is one of two places in Grapevine or the surrounding area where you can still smoke inside. We have not eaten here yet and we just go to the bar. The place is very cool inside with lots of neon and vintage signs. Has great vibe like a local road house. The staff is always nice and really seem genuinely happy to help serve you. The place is always busy, but we like to sit at the bar when we can find a place because there's always activity going on and a lot of people watching to do. Our waitress Robin was so fun and hustled alot. This is great place to hang out and have a few drinks and a smoke.

Had buffet for lunch, came in about 1pm food flavor was good but not overly warm. Banana pudding was out it was good, not sure if it was the best I've had but close. Banana pudding was very good, also had the rum topping out to put over it, wow the rum was strong. Service was adequate. Had a bit higher hopes.

We have been to Willhoite's several times. Mostly for drinks and dancing. We've eaten there a few times and the food is usually good, for bar food. I'll chalk it up to an incredibly busy night, it was during the Craft Beer Festival. They had a buffet and it wasn't very good. The service, however, in spite of the big crowds was fast and the server was cheerful, efficient and polite.

This place is awesome on Sundays. They have an extensive brunch that includes items like fruit, salad, soup, ribs, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, roast beef, omlettes made to order, pancakes, French toast sticks, and an ice cream station! It's always a hit when we've brought out of town guests here. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!
