Charming little restaurant, makes for a great end to a day of kayaking in grand rapids. The back deck is beautiful and you watch all the little birds at the feeders.
Food is delicious, soups seem made in house and to die for. The Rolls they bring to the table are super light and fluffy. Not crazy expensive.
My wife and I have been coming here for years and are never disappointed. This is by far, one of our favorite restaurants around! Located in scenic Grand Rapids, Ohio, on the banks of the Maumee River, this beautiful restaurant is surrounded by many quaint shops and a lot of history. The atmosphere both inside and outside is very warm and inviting. The choices of food and drinks are plentiful and always delicious! The staff are wonderful and the owner, Dave LaRoe is always there to greet you and is so polite and friendly! This is truly one outstanding restaurant and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing a fantastic dining experience!
We have eaten here twice in last 7 months. Both times were absolutely fantastic. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails the appatiser and our main course. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is terrific. The owner always stops by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. Definitely a place we will continue to come back to. It's really a super place to have lunch or dinner.

La Roe's is an unexpected small-town gem. The service is superb and the food is excellent. The kid's menu is definitely 6-year-old approved---in particular, the chicken fingers and fries are always a big hit. The poppy seed dressing is so good that the restaurant sells it! Though the menu is semi-pricey, you will not be disappointed! If you are ever in the vicinity of Grand Rapids, pop in for a bite!
Foods always good. Service is wonderful but sometimes hard to get a table and fills up during popular times.
Support this unique place. You won't find an owner more mindful and passionate about what he does. This is a gem in the area.
We found the ribs dry and average. The grilled shrimp was good. Warm, spiced wine was amazing.
We sat on the patio, the view was absolutely beautiful and relaxing.
