We had our wedding here on 03/04/23 and I cannot say anything but good things about the venue. Sure, there were hiccups here and there and communication probably could have been better during the preparation process, but the wedding day completely made up for all of it.
All of our guests were pleased with the food, the staff were all very helpful and the pricing for the food, beverages, and amenities ended up with such amazing value. There are LOTS of places to take pictures including the area around the venue and the lobby, tons of space for guests to wander and hang around, and the view is just unbeatable (when the weather cooperates as well).
We had a Korean wedding ceremony after our traditional American version and the staff arranged the space to exactly how we wanted it. The day just could not have gone any smoother and the cleanup process was just as easy. It's unfortunate that they will be moving their location, but I hope that the new area will be just as picturesque and bountiful as this one.
The University Club was such a fun place for a reception. The venue was nice and clean and the food was delicious!
We had a wonderful family reunion here.
Beautiful accommodations, food and service. Thank you to the Necker’s family for hosting.
I'm currently planning my wedding reception at this venue. The staff have been phenomenal in preparing everything for us and have answers to every question. Very detail oriented. We have no doubt that they will be amazing hosts at our reception. The food is also fantastic!
Lovely place for reception. Food was delicious and tasty. Wasn't keen on cupcakes served for dessert despite the variety. But staff was helpful and so friendly. A bit of trouble finding it...finding the building it was located in.
Spent Mothers Day with family. Food and service was outstanding
Truly an exceptional experience. The food is exceptional with high rise dining views to match. Excellent choice for business meetings and centrally located downtown GR.
I attended a wedding reception here. This is the "toast of Grand Rapids", to see the city from atop the skyline is impressive. This facility provided top quality service, food and atmosphere.
This is the kind of place where (in the past) the good ol' boys were served whiskey and cigars by meek women in tight dresses, with the option of extramarital sex on the side (probably). Now, the place is a bit classier, thanks to the absence of cigar smoke (and, I assume, the extramarital sex). Be prepared to shell out some serious moolah if you want to be a member or have a wedding reception, though. That part has not changed. Also, the views are amazing.
Old school club. Great quite place for meetings or lunches hosted by a member.
