This place is absolutely amazing! We stopped in and we’re promptly greeted with a big smiling face! (Maddy) Then her father John made us feel right at home as we sat and chatted while he prepared our food, which was fresh & ridiculously good! I’m a regular from this point on.

Came in around 2pm on a Wednesday. Food was ready quickly. Fairly priced. $38 for 1lb of shrimp, 1/2lb of mushrooms, 1/2lb of mozzarella sticks, 1/2lb of jalapeño poppers. Food is a yummy. Easy in & out parking. Will come here again when on this side of town

Don’t let the appearance deceive you. I must have driven past this place hundreds of times without knowing it was there. Tried it today and I will be back. As an Englishman I’m always looking for good fish and chips. Whilst nothing will compare to home this is the closest to a chippy that I know. Great food and really nice people, give it a try!

Really great fried fish. Been going here for years. I love the cod (crispy, salt/pepper) mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers (unavailable due to supply chain issues at the time of this review). Try again if you don’t get through on the phone to preorder.

I would go here even if the owners weren't terrific! The fish is always just how I like it, and you can't beat the deep-fried cauliflower.

Been going here since like forever. Another great fish meal to be had by me. The new Captain at the Helm did an outstanding job on my order. I urge any and all to support this business. It is well worth it. They are open Tuesday through Saturday.

Take out only. You can call and order ahead. I really liked their fried cod. Coating was light, golden and a little crispy but cooked long enough that the fish was done in the center. Decent prices. 1/2 lb for only $5. Very nice people running it. Will go again.

The people behind the counter are super friendly and the place smelled awesome, we ordered 2lbs of smelt. Having not had them in over 30 years we ate the fried lb in a heart beat. For sure would recommend their food to anyone who is a seafood lover. By the way drove from Holland to buy fish yup I missed smelt. Thanks for such Good service we will be back.

THE BEST place in Grand Rapids for bulk fish or a quick meal and much more, it’s absolutely fantastic quality and everytime i go there I’m amazed at the food and the workers are extremely friendly and want to talk, they recognize me every time i go back to get food and that type of customer service is REALLY rare to find these days. The food is always cooked fresh and there homemade breading on fried foods is to die for, plus they have bulk/uncooked fish if you plan to do a cookout or something with family! A
