Went to Luna for dinner before a concert, was shocked to find out they didn't have any tables available, but quickly learned that they do take reservations. The bar had space available so we ended up there. Food was excellent and Rebecca made sure we had everything we needed. She made superb recommendations for both food and drink and was prompt with service. Highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can have the privilege of having Rebecca serve you!

We had a great time at Luna! Our server Maddy was super great and made wonderful suggestions. The hibiscus tea was a hit. Ordered the quinoa salad and was blown away by the flavor. Very cool find.

You heathens do not deserve a before picture only the carnage left after laying waste to the salsa flight and tacos. The Verde salsa and the "hot" salsa were awesome the mild was well very mild. The shrimp, carne asada and fish tacos were all certified hood classics. The beans were the type of beans you just wanted a dozen homemade flour tortillas to dip into the beans while you enjoyed a cold beer or margarita. Solid service and chill vibes. If you find yourself in Grand Rapids don't miss out on the opportunity to eat too much chips and tacos and waddle back to your car.

My wife and I ate at Luna for the first time this past Tuesday. We have been wanting to eat here for awhile and it did not disappoint! My wife started with the Margarita flight and we ordered the salsa flight add guacamole for the table. The margs were pretty good and all of the salsas had great flavor. The guacamole was pretty darn good as well. Not overpowering in any manner and very fresh! The chips were WAY to greasy though. It looked and felt like they sit in frying oil for a lol time and come out saturated. For dinner my wife ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and I ordered 3 tacos for Taco Tuesday! My wife enjoyed the flavor of her quesadilla and said it was the right amount of food. Not overly full and not hungry still. For the tacos I went with a Carne Asada, Pollo, and Fish taco. I really like how they keep it simple and use onions and cilantro instead of cheese, tomato, lettuce etc. If I had to rank the taco the Fish (which was Mahi) was phenomenal, then the Carne Asada, and the Pollo. The Fish taco was super flavorful! The Carne Asada was pretty close behind, but the chicken was my least favorite. Not much of a “wow” factor for flavor. All in all a good experience and great food. Only complaint is the saturated oily tortilla chips. They need to use less oil or don’t cook them as long.

So I do have to say this place is really nice the staff was very friendly the food was very beautiful when it came out homemade salsas were delicious and I actually enjoyed my food quite a bit although my wife and my dad did not care for it too much. The homemade dessert was very tasty as well. Not knowing if it was connected or not all three of us did have to use the bathroom quite a bit after this restaurant unfortunately we didn't eat anything else that day. I assumed it was not from this place because everything was very fresh looking and high-end. I also feel that it's kind of pricey for tacos just because I believe that tacos should be a cheap meal because they're very cheap to make. But overall I think this place does a very good job.

Fantastic atmosphere and food. We had reservations for two tonight (Saturday) at 6:45. We were seated as soon as we arrived. Our waitress was friendly, and the food arrived quickly - although we were in no rush (and we didn't feel rushed - in fact, we felt we were welcome to take our time). We ordered chips and guac, which came with salsa. Our appetizer and two Margaritas came out quickly. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We each chose 2 tacos (carne asada and chicken) with beans and rice. Being from California, authentic Mexican (or anything close to authentic Mexican) is hard (impossible) to find - Luna’s delivered. Although not 100% authentic, everything exceeded our expectations! The waitress recommended a large side of beans and rice to split as it was more economical. Although we would have paid more, we took her up on the suggestion. Our food arrived quickly, was warm and pleasantly presented. The price we paid was on point for what we expected, and was in our budget for a nice dinner. We both highly recommend Luna’s!

Great margaritas! Service is friendly and the building is nice and clean. We didn't get a chance to try the food this visit, but will definitely return to do so. If you're thirsty, don't hesitate. Update: Visited again this time for food. The chips & guac is a huge portion, so it is well worth the cost. The tacos were good too, maybe just a bit on the dry side but still yummy. The only downside is it can get pretty loud inside when it is really busy, but thats not a problem at all!

A go-to place in town for tacos and margs. Simple, delicious food, always. Love the atmosphere when you dine in, but if you’re doing takeout, their Family Taco Kits are fantastic!

This place is not bad. I got steak, chicken, & fish tacos which I enjoyed. I also tried the spicy & classic margaritas. I liked the spicy one better but they were both missing limes & salt. My wait was around 30-45 mins even though they told me it would be a 1-2 hour wait. I was able to wait outside, in a seated area, where I got my drinks. I would try Luna GR again.

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown GR. Food is pretty good but the drinks are phenomenal, especially the spicy margarita and the mojito. Also a great location and within walking distance of Van Andel which makes it a great place to stop before a show

The food here was decent, but when compared to Donkey (another local and similar restaurant), everything here didn’t taste as good except for the queso dip. I got the Al Pastor, Pork, and Carne Asada tacos and a prickly pear margarita. They did comp the appetizer since a waiter dropped plates on us which was nice. If I had to choose between here and Donkey, I would choose Donkey but it was still a nice meal and the service was good.
