Stopped in with my family during ArtPrize - the atmosphere is so fun, love the kitschy vibe, the food was fantastic. I got the blackberry bacon jam grilled cheese and I still think about it from time to time. The chronic fries were wonderful.
Stella’s was the first place we went to after getting to Grand Rapids and it’s a reason I would travel back to the city.
So this atmosphere isn’t for everyone but it is a lot of fun for those who like kitsch. Tons of throwback video games (we love to play Galaga and NBA Jam). Fun 70’s, 80’s & early 90’s TV shows playing and lots of graffiti artwork. It’s a whiskey bar and most servers are pierced and tatted up, but also friendly. We took our kids there when they were younger & now that they are in their 20’s they love it even more. Excellent food. Famous for their burgers. Get the chronic fries. The Road Runner was outstanding!
The big wigs said this place had the best burgers in the United States. So I had to make the drive to try it out for myself.
The theme was pretty sick, and the music selection was good too.
They had a happy hour which was $5 nachos and $2.50 loaded fries. That’s ridiculous. It’s 2023, unheard of.
For the amount of money you pay and the quality of food, I have to agree this place has the best burgers in the United States
Stopped in with friends for some food and drinks and were not disappointed! Everyone’s food was really good, particularly the poor man’s wings. So good! And so affordable! Under $50 with food, many drinks, and a good tip. Such a great place!
Great burger joint with a fun metal ascetic. This is a fun spot for a date night, it’s dark, kind of edgy, and has arcade games. We love the burgers, and the grilled cheese is also bomb. I wouldn’t get the stuffed tots again, those were a little bland. Would recommend this place for a casual, fun place to eat downtown GR.
Went there after dinner. So didn't get to eat but the burgers looked really good. Bartenders were good and kept checking on us. Scotch selection is a little thin but they have enough variety that you can find something. Will definitely go back when in Grand Rapids. Overall would give it a 4.3 to 4.5 because I didn't try the food this time.
Tried several vegan options, my favorite was surprisingly the "Shrimp" Mac nCheese, but the vegan wings were yummy too and the vegan ranch was AMAZING. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Will be back soon!
The food is always amazing! I'm vegan, and I love that they always have good options for me to choose from. At my previous visit, our server was absolutely amazing. He made sure I knew which buns were and weren't vegan and made sure my friend with a gluten allergy knew what options were available for her as well. He checked in on us frequently to see how be liked the food and to top off our waters. We couldn't have asked for a better server. I'm honestly never disappointed when I eat out here!
7.7/10. The burger was bland. Sorry. GREAT FRIES!!!!!! Check them out. GREAT APPS!!!! My wife and I got the Gov’t cheese, and loaded tots. Wife got the Bluegrass punch which had a PUNCH! Menu selection was meh. But niche. Like I said the burger patty itself was bland BUT tasty as a burger overall. The fries are amazing! Cool atmosphere great service!!!
Had an AMAZING vegan burger - The Krabby Patty. Best meal I’ve ever had there. My non vegan fiance liked it more than his burger. I would recommend to any one! Our server was great as well.
