Definitely one of the best dinner experiences, my man Patrick went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable birthday evening. The views from the balcony are out standing, the breeze from the river makes it even better ! We had the hearth roasted sea food for 2, $85 . We tasted bitterness in every bite because carbon from roasting , but the crab was juicy and delicious. Patagonian king Prawn was cooked well and juicy. Lobster tail was good. Old fashion was fantastic. Sparking wine is good. Surprise birthday cake was perfect !

My oh my what an experience! LIZ thank you! Oh Liz was such a great hostess I’m beyond impressed! My boyfriend and I came in for an anniversary dinner and she was just so sweet. I’m talking about — complimentary champagne and during dessert we couldn’t make up our mind on what we wanted and she suggested this heavenly cheesecake! It was amazing! And she surprised us at the end witg putting the cheesecake on the house on behalf of our milestone. Thank you for the best best best night ever! This is an upscale dining restaurant and it’s because the hospitality and food and just everything IS TOP NOTCH. You are not wasting any bucks here, you’re gaining an experience.

Came in for dinner and was blown away by the experience. I would rank this as probably the best upper scale dining in Grand Rapids currently. The food and drinks were phenomenal and the service was friendly and professional. We particularly enjoyed the onion soup, the octopus, and the gnocchi- the gnocchi was amazingly soft and pillowy like nothing I have experienced. Atmosphere could use a little work, if I have to nitpick. The chairs were slightly uncomfortable and I wished the dining space would take better advantage of river views. However, that is nothing that would keep me from enjoying some of the best food I have ever had in West Michigan.

Very beautiful atmosphere. Service was impeccable. Was waited on promptly and seated promptly. Went in for lunch. Had a very good selection. The Caesar salad I recommend very good. I chose the portobello sandwich. Loved it. Waitress was very attended which I thank her for.

We were there on our date night. We made the reservations on the same day(towards early afternoon) and got the table reserved for 7:30 pm. You have to use hotel parking and restaurant will just pay half of the parking fee. We were given a table kind of close to the entrance and honestly I did not like it much. Tried to change the place but the guy who received us at the door could not do much. I also had to request to lit the candle as I did not see anyone doing that even after appetizers arrived. Overall pricey food but tasty and seems absolute quality. There were three or four servers all together and I just liked the lady who was present when we were midway through till end. I am not sure I am going there soon but might try their outdoor dining facing the river in the summer.

My partner and I ate here Friday night on the Jdek at Margaux. Our server was phenomenal. She had playful banter with us, checked in enough to be attentive without being overwhelming. She did an outstanding job. The view of the river and Grand Rapids as the sunset I would argue is one of the best views in GR while dining out. We had zero bugs while we ate, the ambiance was warming and calm. Lastly and most certainly not least; the food. My partner is a vegetarian and I am not. - To start we got the Truffle Fries to split. They were crunchy and the right amount of truffle. This is a popular item nowadays but in my experience done usually rather poorly. These were a welcomed exception. - I also got the Onion Soup Au Gratin. It is made with veal stock and had a nice richness to the broth. I wasnt a big fan of the crouton in the soup. It had some herb I would get a bite of that I found unpleasant in contrast to the soup flavor - My partner got the Gnocchi Parisienne. The server recommended and my partner was blown away at the texture. They were exactly as gnocchi should be. So light and fluffy, yet strong enough to stand against the sauce and other ingredients. -I got the Filer Au Poivre ( for anyone who doesnt speak french like myself: tenderloin medallions, cognac crème, caramelized onions, roasted maitake mushrooms) -The steak was so tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare and a great peppercorn crust. The sauce was outstanding and the onion was a beautiful addition to the flavor profile of this dish. I asked for the mushrooms on the side so my partner could enjoy with me. But I loved them so much I ended up not sharing. Oops! - One final aspect, there Mocktails were very tasty. If sober, they have great alternatives. If not sober, even better options haha Overall, a very enjoyable experience from start to end. Would recommend everyone come out and enjoy a meal here.

Good food, very good service, and great atmosphere. I called ahead to ask about a vegan option and they made a delicious pasta dish. We went with a large group and reserved ahead of time. They seated us in a private area of the restaraunt, it was perfect! We did not feel rushed at all like at other establishments.

A quick summary: This place has been on my list of places to experience. We finally came here for a date night. Upon walking in, the ambience is very nice and upscale as you would expect. Our waitress was fantastic and our waters were topped off before we could ever get down to half-empty, which we truly appreciate because dying of thirst before getting halfway through a meal and having to flag someone down never makes for a great experience so 10/10 on customer service and the wait staff taking great care of us! The food is delicious and overall well-presented too! I highly recommend giving this place a try. For more detail of our experience and the food, continue reading.. The drinks: We love water. So we usually get that but I also ordered an espresso martini. The drink was made well. The alcohol didn’t overpower the espresso, which I appreciated. A well-made drink that was truly enjoyable. The appetizers: We started out with the oysters and a potato dish. Wasn’t a huge fan of the potato dish but the oysters made up for it as they were DIVINE! I am usually an Oyster Rockefeller gal and I’m not a fan of raw oysters but when they’re served properly, it’s the best treat! It’s all about balance and I would order these oysters again and again! The acidity of the mignonette, the layout of the salt, the sweet tartness of the sauce and the playful texture of the gelée really elevated this dish. I hope they’ll keep this on the menu because I’ll be coming back for these oysters! Now for the main course: I ordered from the “specials” menu. I had the lamb. I’ve never had a lamb before the way that it was prepared here. It was like a filet but a lamb. Perfect texture, great taste and we absolutely enjoyed eating this. The veg surrounding the lamb didn’t look the most appealing but it was extremely appetizing and I found myself eating most of it. I also ordered the side of fancy mushrooms and although it was not something you’d just eat on its own, when eaten with the lamb, it helped elevate that dish even more. A perfect pairing. Mr. Sexy ordered a Luxe seafood platter. Once he saw a picture in other google reviews, he already knew what he was coming for, lol. The broth that the seafood sat in was extremely flavored and not watered down, which made every bit of seafood on the plate and every bite very flavorful. We also loved that they complimented that dish with a cheesy pasta afterwards because it really helps “hit the spot” and pasta is such a comfort food, plus, it’s always a great pairing with most seafood dishes. So at this point, we are soooo full and satiated but we don’t dare leave this place without trying dessert… So now onto dessert: The cheesecake is phenomenal! I loved the fresh strawberry with it as well as the pistachio but wished there was more strawberry. We also had the passion fruit chocolate dessert. It was really good too but I would recommend asking for an extra scoop of gelato as the chocolate is a bit rich. We also got the creme brûlée which is just one of my favorites so I’ll always order it. It was garnished with fresh fruit on top and was delicious as expected. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner date here. A great experience with great service and the food was definitely top-notch. We would come here again. Highly recommend!

Wow, on the food! Better than expected! Service was not really an issue because I went for a breakfast brunch buffet. That said, the bartender was attentive. I enjoyed breakfast and will be back! Had a wonderful time. Julia was our server and was the best! There was live music, great lighting and wonderful welcoming staff. The presentation on the steak dish was underwhelming in comparison to the other dishes. The food was great and I was excited for every meal to come out.

We celebrated our anniversary here tonight, and were met with friendly staff and delicious food. The environment was elegant, and cozy. Bailee the host was awesome! Our server Liz was on her game, taking great care of us. The food was tasty! Nice job!

This is fine dining food with a fine dining price tag. We made the reservation a few weeks prior, arrived early and were promptly escorted to the bar area to wait as our coats were checked. Had a drink or two while we waited for reservation time. I am extremely disappointed with the Signature Old Fashion as I can't seem to recreate it on my own and would return for that experience! When seated, I found the dinning area to be a bit noisier than expected. The wait staff was adequate but didn't seem all that interested or invested in our experience. The food was delicious, some of the presentations seemed a odd or clumsy.

We arrived just before 9am without reservations and were sat promptly. We were told there were a lot of reservations at 10:30am. There was a line up at 10am. (Go early) we had the breakfast buffet. Everything was freshly made, fruit delicious. You have to ask for a made to order omelet. The gentleman has been there for 15 years and he is the star of the show. My husband said “the best he’s ever had” service by Patrick was great!

My husband and I's experience was amazing! Our waitress, along with other staff members, was kind, attentive, and helpful. The food was delicious with large portions. The chocolate mousse dessert was amazing! The cheesecake was yummy as well. I would definitely return again!

This was easily one of the best meals I've ever had. We came for a special occasion and the staff were incredible and the food was amazing. French preparations sometimes may seem like they will be heavy, but these dishes were light and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant and will most certainly be back.

The food here is exquisite. Really, really good. Service is friendly. I would highly suggest that whoever maintains the JDek igloo domes conducts a walk-through and troubleshoots issues with door latches and heating. This was a challenge upon most recent visit. Aside from that element (which is not under the control of Margaux or a reflection on the chef), I would highly recommend it.

Very nice space in a nice hotel. Fits with what I’d expect for a JW Marriott. The food was nice but didn’t blow us away. Overall a nice experience to have brunch here which was also extremely convenient since we were staying at the hotel. They had a la carte and buffet style brunch but we elected to go with a la carte. The buffet looked quite nice with eggs made to order, however.

We had a group of 7 and the staff was especially attentive and accommodating to us considering the dietary/allergy restrictions within our group. The attention to detail, level of care and quality of service provided is top notch. I want to highlight Brandon, our server, who did not miss a beat with our orders throughout our stay. Chris, the GM, ensured our experience exceeded our expectations. Compliments to the Chef for delivering the most delicious dishes and exquisite presentations. I am very much looking forward to dining at Margaux again.
