Food made to order - no buffet - an actual dining room. Tried orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, pepper steak and hot and sour soup. All were excellent. Highly recommend. Sadly they do not deliver to our neighborhood - so we will just have to dine in.
The best Chinese food I've had anywhere. Egg drop and hot & sour soup were awesome. Chicken fried rice tasted like real food, very fresh. Beef and broccoli was outstanding - without a doubt the best beef and broccoli I've ever tasted. When we're back in Arlington we will go again!
Jade Dragon is located in the Trailwood Village strip mall. It is set back from W. Polo Road. As you can tell from the photos, the exterior is plain, but don't let that stop you from stopping by. I had questions myself, but the positive reviews from all the major sites lured me in.
I decided to skip the lunch menu and selected chicken curry off of the main menu. It was medium spicy for me, but was tantalizing just the same. with plenty of chicken steeped in a medium-thick sauce. It came with a single cup of steamed rice. My iced tea glass was filled several times to the brim. Sodas come in a can along with of a glass of ice. No refills.
The interior is strictly minimalist--booths and tables of darkened woods. It was very quiet even with four or five tables full of diners. I was amazed at the constant line of people getting take-out orders.
Jade Dragon definitely gets a thumbs-up from me. There is no buffet, but that is not a problem considering the fresh piping hot food they serve. I find it much better than any of the major chain Chinese restaurants, notwithstanding the simple decor.
Overall, I liked it. I started with crab Rangoon which had a fresher taste than many other Americanized Chinese restaurant. Hot and sour soup could have used a little more spice and lemon, but was still better than many I have tried. Egg role was in wonton style wrapper that I prefer, but I found the cabbage and ginger overpowering. For entree I had Kung pao chicken, this I feel was awesome. It had enough spice and overall texture mix, I am usually disappointed at other places for saying spicy for items clearly lacking.
Family owned place tucked away in a small shopping strip. Happy family dish was really tasty.Nice quiet atmosphere and friendly attentive staff.
Quick delivery. Huge portions. I will order from this restaurant again.
Great Food. Great take out place for Chinese food. Wonderful flavors, nice people, and the portions are huge. Do youreself a favor and check it out.
A hidden gem. I'm so glad I found this little place! The portions are huge, fresh & delicious - love the Crab Rangoon, steamed dumplings and the Crispy Shrimp. I've never had a bad meal from this restaurant and the staff are so courteous & helpful. I'll be returning again and again.
Large portions. I had the sesame chicken, I thought it was above average and a pretty large portion. Also had the Kung pao chicken, I thought it was average, but I'm not into spicy food that much, she is and she liked it. We had the dumpling appetizer, they were good but cold.
Overall experience was good, and large amount of food for a reasonable price. Atmosphere was quiet, clean, and nice and service was good.
Great Chinese Food. This is a mom and pop restaurant that deserves a lot of attention. The food is delicious, from the War Wonton to the steamed dumplings and the homemade crab rangoons. Excellent service! Main dishes are a delight, with the Sesame Beef, and Kung Pao as standing out. I am not a fan of the sweet and sour but so far that is the only thing that I am not a fan of! Everything is great. They have flat noodles and also fried rice, and they deliver! What a great restaurant.
