The Local

Eclectic fun place with very good, almost great burgers. They could be exceptional if prepared just a bit diffently. They use high quality fresh ground grass-fed beef, but did not season or cook the patties on a grill hot enough to brown/char them. See pic. Likewise, the Hawaiian and jalapeño buns were fantastic but should have been toasted on the grill. The fries were not double-fried so they were limp and oily. The Local is still one of the best burger places around and could be great if they just prepared the food a bit differently. Clean bathroom.

Cute whimsy place, picked it by the reviews. But was NOT impressed. The patio smelled like rotten garbage, the gent in the trailer had dirty clothes that looked like hadnt been washed in a week. After 25 minute wait I recieved over cooked grease soaked fries and a salad with burnt crouton, nasty pecans, and brown lettuce. I hope this was only a fluke, but not impressed!
