We went twice last week! Best gluten free tacos ever! Felipe is wonderful, remembers your name and has the best tequila ever. The fact that they can do everything gluten free for a true celiac is awesome! We will be back every time we are in Cancun!

A little known secret.
How come Calypso's prices are more competitive compared to other restaurants in the area?
Because Calypso don't pay 100 peso per person commission to hotels and resorts when they refer you.
Perhaps that is also why you find many local or annually returning gringos and "gringorinas" here in the afternoons.

We visited this restaurant with a Coeliac after seeing a review regarding the gluten free options and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Filipe the owner was extremely friendly and you could tell he was knowledgeable about gluten free requirements. Safe to say my partner (the coeliac) was the happiest he has been all holiday after struggling to find many GF options! We will 100% be visiting again during our time here. We had a great time!
Great spot, great food and hospitality. This is a wonderful gem that's been around a long time. Felipe really makes you feel like family when you come here. We even sang Happy birthday for him and my girl while we were here. Do yourself a favor and a service by stopping in when you're in cancun. It's a little tucked away but make sure you save the location, you won't regret it. Thanks again for the shots and the good food Felipe you definitely made us feel welcomed. Blessings from New York!

The best seafood tacos you can have in Cancun. My wife and I tried the taco shrimps and the shrimp soup and loved it. The appetizers are a bit spicy but they're one of the best ones I've tried here in Cancun and other restaurants in the US, Canada and in Europe. If you have any requests for what to order ask Don Felipe for advice.
Loved Felipe, his great food, amazing service, and tasty margarita! Small outdoor dining and the food was plentiful. The tequila shot after dinner was a generous offer. Loved everything about this meal and the fact that Felipe, the owner, will provide a nice meal.
This restaurant is great. We enjoyed a meal here on our vacation. Easy to find and right in the downton part of the hotel zone. The food was above average. We were given free shots with our food. Menu is comparable to other food options in the area.
