A truly great coffee shop! The interior is very uniquely Colorado, while also being hip and cozy. The menu is impressive, but the prices are very reasonable.
I ordered the Pumpkin Chai Latte and was impressed with the flavors. Way richer than Charbucks chai lattes, and the pumpkin flavor was unusual because it actually tasted like pumpkin - not just the spices usually associated with pumpkin pie, but the actual pumpkin flavor as well.
A great coffee shop, highly recommend.

This was a cute coffee shop at the end of the main drag in Boulder. It was a busy place but the staff was pleasant and friendly. They make a selection of coffee drinks, including Turkish coffee. This was my first time having this type of coffee and I really enjoyed it. If you do order it, be aware of the large amount of grounds that will be at the bottom of the cup.

This is my favorite coffee place in Golden. Nathan is an absolute character and always so friendly, and Jeff, the owner, knows all the frequent customers’ names (I hope to be included in that category one day)! There’s always very cool art and it’s a great place to kick back and get some work done for a few hours or sit outside on the deck and hang out with friends. And as an added bonus, the coffee is delish!!

We tried this place while visiting Colorado, because friends don’t let friends be sellouts and drink Starbucks, but we were not terribly impressed. I’m seeing a lot of similar comments about how the barista(s) have been rude, and our experience was no different. It’s unacceptable how she treated us and I would never continue to employ someone with no customer service skills as a barista, of all jobs. The cold press we ordered was alright.

You go here to support a local shop and their nice views - but the coffee is just ok. If you’re a tea drinker or like flavored coffee things you’ll probably get more out of this shop than the straight latte drinker.

I love the Higher Grounds Cafe. Delicious coffee and espresso, toasted bagels and pastries. Good prices, very friendly service and an outdoor deck to hang out on that I swear I could spend the rest of my life on. Leave Starbucks behind for now, they’re everywhere. There’s only one Higher Grounds Cafe and it’s right here!
