Joe Donut

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Pretty sure the donuts have the same recipe across all of their locations, but I prefer this location a bit more. Was surprised to see the amount of donuts available considering it was 11am on a Sunday. My family and I were the only ones there. Customer Service can be a bit more friendlier or patient.

I guess original isn't always better. The Glenview shop is their original location, but if you want passable donuts and service, drive the extra 10 minutes and visit their Niles location. It's too bad... It'd be great to grab a donut and coffee and hit Jackman Park or the library across the street. At Joe's Glenview: -Minimal selection of stale donuts (Do they even bake on site?) -Indifferent service -Weak, watery coffee -Dirty environs (Why is the coffee counter being used as a drying rack for someone's water bottles?) Maybe the owner has moved on to bigger and better things with the expansion, but they should get a handle on their OG Glenview location.

When you walk into Joe Donut, words like "cozy" and "cute" come to mind. The shop can accommodate ten people, maybe. But what it lacks in size it makes up for in taste! From pistachio to salted caramel(and more!), these gourmet donuts are worth the drive and the price, which isn't that much more than the big donut chains. Their coffee is different, in a good way. I found my new weekend donut spot!
