Penny's Diner

It’s not your typical ‘greasy spoon’. The service was outstanding and the down home atmosphere was welcoming and much appreciated. Staff were excellent and hard working. I had a make your own omelette with hash browns and my dad had the ranch breakfast. Both dishes were served quickly and the coffee was great as well. The place could use a deep clean and even a redesign of the kitchen layout. Keep at it ladies! 😎

When I showed the server my raw hamburger she told the cook, the cook said it was pretty well done (photo added). I got greeted by the 'hostess'? With a very curt "checking in" I was visibly confused and replied with a huh, paused and then said just 1. She then asked me "to go?" Server seemed a bit new and confused, when I asked for a physical menu I was told that it wasn't allowed

We loved it. Didn't have our phones for the QR menu so the cook asked what we wanted and delivered......I was really good. The cook chatted with us and was very personable. It was very clean. No greasy spoon here. The 1950's theme is whT made it for us to go on. Definitely in our top 5 breakfast places

Ate here because it was the only thing open at 1:30 am. I think it's the only place in town open 24hrs. It was seat yourself. There I'd a sign on the table that tells you it's been cleaned and a qr code for the digital menu. The irony was that the sign was not clean. There were a ton of gnats. I killed some but they kept coming. The customer service was decent. They suggested we go back to our room and they would call us when the food was ready. Unfortunately they for got my order of tots. They quickly cooked some for me. Unfortunately they tasted like the oil had not been changed in awhile. The other food was all fine. The hotel operates out of the diner, which is strange.

Stopped in for lunch while passing through town on a road trip. Fun 50s vibe and really good diner food. The grilled cheese comes with four slices of cheese— and you can pick four different kinds of cheese if you want! The bacon lovers cheeseburger had a literal mound of bacon on it. The tots that came with the sandwiches were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. Wish we weren’t so full from lunch or we definitely would have tried their shakes as well!

The workers at the diner seem to be more focused on the drama created in the establishment instead of actually doing their job. The head cook Dominic apparently doesn’t know the menu very well as he always forgets items in orders and constantly has a bad attitude. I have never been to a place that has this many employees with bad attitudes. Spend your money some place else!
