Next Door Glendale

Yum! This food is like no other! Locally sourced meat, yay! Gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. So nice to see the labels today next to the dish name. The roasted vegetables bowl is not something I would typically look at and order, but OMG it is amazing!! The gluten free bread is really delicious too! So many good choices on the menu. I've tried about half the menu and really enjoy the bowl and burgers especially!

Gluten free, and organic-centric eatery without being pretentious about it! So points there... also in a great location and nice accommodations. Food was good, but the service stunk! Sat at the bar for 10 minutes on a Friday night (the restaurant was mostly empty) before getting water. Then we waited more every step of the way - our wait staff seemed to be either arguing or socializing in the back. The food was good - but will not return after our wait and over priced meal.

Service was awesome! Good was so good - fresh and nicely seasoned. I lived the curried chicken salad sandwich. Also lived the fresh salad greens served with it. Nice alternative to heavy, routine things I can get anywhere else. Margarita was tart, not sweet. Nice and clean. Had option for indoor our outdoor seating. I'll be back! :-D

The food was great but we were sat at a dirty table and the service was sooooo slow. There was one other table in the restaurant and I still had to hunt down a server for water, napkins, silverware, our check, and then our credit card after she ran it. Good thing I don't mind eating with my hands or our food would have been cold by the time we got our silverware. The roasted veggies salad with salmon was great and the kale chips are good for people that don't like kale but want to pretend to be healthy by eating veggies.

This place is so likable until you come a few times. I've had the burger 3 times now and it went from not bad to why did I just order this again?? It is grass fed, but it's dry, small, and forgettable. I got a side of garlic aioli to add some moistness to balance it out but the "medium rare" burger I've ordered 3 times now still comes out medium well every time. The meatballs and grits were decent but I don't think they are $13 decent. The mashers are worth a try but the staff will recommend them every time as amazing. They have a small draft beer selection and nice cocktail list. The ambiance is superb - farm to table meets industrial. Maybe I should come back and stop ordering the burger and go for one of the $18 and up main courses.
